LOL! Remember about a year ago, Dick Morris was on Hannity & Colmes and mentioned Dem "talking points"? Colmes huffily denied there were any such things, and Morris said, "Come on, now. I'm the one who used to fax them to you!"
They have also pretty much blamed the President Bush for every hurricane that has hit the US since he took office
So sick of it---he had to make sure he got to this one.
Are you watching the Big Guns on Fox now? Meyers, Rumsfeld, an admiral and a general. Doing a good job of explaining the scope of the disaster.
The media is a microcosm of what we find in LA. We have people in power that like Tim Russert are emotional cripples who will never take responsibility for the tragedy that they have caused. If we look at all the Liberals on TV since this began including the talking heads, they show very little maturity, crying, waving their hands, making outrageous ludicrous statements based on rumor or innuendo. They portray a Party that is so bereft of leadership that all they do is trash the GOP, trash people of faith, trash Business and anyone that behaves like an adult. They are melting down and this is their last gasp. They do not care who they hurt, or cause the death of, they will do anything to get back into power. They feel that if they can just get out front and lie and accuse that when the hearings are held and real facts come out, and it will show the really corrupt nature of LA and who was really at fault they will have a lot of people believing that the Hearings were stacked for the Government.
Preacher Henry was a great man- one of my favorite books btw-
General Honore is doing a GREAT job!
The viciousness of their attacks shows all too clearly their desperation to hide the truth.
They're making some good points, and also drawing attention to areas other than New Orleans...about time.
General Honore is doing the best timeline description that I have heard. Including exactly what they have been doing since Katrina was in FL.
Honore is kicking A$$ right this minute; giving it to them chapter and verse!
YEAH for him!!!
Excellent!
An aside, did you hear Wolf Blitzer ask Robert Reicht if he ever thought he'd see the day Kuwait and other countries donated money to the United States?
My first thought was, "It's about time, we're always there for them," but Reicht said "It just goes to show how low we've sunk as a country."
"IMHO those people know the people who would stay would include the criminal element and they feared their properties would be ransacked if they were not damaged."
I think you're right on that Snugs. A couple of other things - I don't think the mayor was forceful enough in letting people know they needed to evacuate, some were waiting for their welfare or social security checks that were coming in a couple of days, and some thought they could just weather it out as they had done previously. The other big problem - the Gov should have sent in the NG and coordinated w the mayor w the police to protect the citizens, especially knowing that NO is one of the largest crime areas in the nation (because it appears the mayor wasn't doing much to prevent crime - - -in so many ways, a Rudy he is not).
It's sad that these reporters have to be even told about all of what they had to deal with
No we have switched to sports channel for indoor soccer live soccer, hopefully FNC will repeat it later tonight.
UGH, Reich ought to know about low. Vertically-challenged as he is.
I absolutely LOVE General Honore! Let's get that man out in front of the press more often!
