I think they did (or a different set of buses) make it to the Marriot, because a caller into CNN from the Ritz Carlton was evacuated in that manner.

I just put it on and watched Anderson Cooper interview a family in Mississippi, who bashed Bush because they had no help in their state....that "ALL the national guard were in Iraq."

I watched him tonight first time in a long time and he was true to form...made a fool out of himself....he should stick to yelling at women about books he hasn't read..he's both rude and a pin head....
That was a different group of tourists, who had their priivately chartered busses commandeered. The commandeered busses were for Hotel Monteleone and Crowne Plaza Astor Downtown. THeir private busses were taken by the government.
In contrast, the tenants of the Hyatt were given preferential treatment on government-provided busses.
