The Last Orthodox Church in Kosovo Might Turn into a Night Club

Pristina. According to the new public planning the unfinished orthodox church Christ, The Savior in Pristina might be turned into a night club, a studio or a museum. The Parliament had reviewed the suggestion for the new reconstruction of the region on July 15. The plan includes the church and the students campus, the electronic edition Holy Gates of Christianity (www.dveribg.com) reports.
The Serbian church has not been informed about the initiative and had reacted sharply to it. The Church has neither intention, nor the right to turn its sites whose foundations have already been dedicated, into night clubs or galleries. Though over 150 churches and monasteries have been destroyed or seriously damaged over the last 6 years, the new attempt at taking away the last Orthodox Church cannot be seen in any other way than as a wish for impeding the life of the Church and wiping out every single trace of the Serbian people and culture in Kosovo and Metohija, a declaration of the Rasko-Prizren Eparchy reads.

what the heck does a muslim nightclub look like? It's called Hell. This is where they all go eventually.
But Albanians are not even muslims. They don't even have a history. They have no historical monuments, no traces of any civilization, no traces of historical literature. Their law, the only law that defines their way of life to this day, is blood revenge. They are Europe's last cavemen, living fossils, who can fool the naive and the stupid, if you dress them up, shave them and give them a haircut, into believing they are actually more than that. They are good at four things: killing, sex trade, drug trafficking, and highest natality rate on the Continent.
That's their legacy in Europe. Only in America are they through of in softer terms thanks to people like Sens. Dole and Lantos, and Rep. Henry Hyde. They have a strong lobby in DC -- hey, you know how it is: drug money is as good as oil money. It's almost a public secret how much Lantos received for his efforts to make "Kosova" independent. Was it Hemingway who said "we all all know what you are; we are only arguing over the price?"

They can turn every stone ever used to build a Serbian Orthodox house of worship into dust all they want but they never take our souls. If anything, they'll only make us stronger.
Granted the Turkish occupation of Serb lands was no walk in the park, but would "inat" and the Serbian will to survive terrible hardships be as strong as it is without it?
I kinda believe that if the Kosovo Albanians succeed in their goal to eradicate all that is Serbian from Kosovo, the Serbs will actually end up stronger in the long run.

Serbs have yet to be re-born. Right now, they are spiritually dead.

Orthodox Churches are basically set up by nationality but are all interconnected.Interesting. I was curious because I was told in no uncertain terms the Russian Orthodox church didn't need any help from evangelicals.
Sounds like they could use some help in Serbia.

The Russians, Greeks, Romanians, Bulgarians, Armenians and the Serbs all belong to the Orthodox branch of Christianity.Interesting. I was told in no uncertain terms that the Russian Orthodox didn't need any help from evangelicals. Guess they could use our help in Serbia.

And what 'help' are you refering to? Sending the US military to fight on the side of the Albanian terrorists and talking to his field military commanders while receiving sexual favors under the oval office desk.

Sending the US military to fight on the side of the Albanian terrorists and talking to his field military commanders while receiving sexual favors under the oval office desk.LOL So you had to stretch that far to find a reason to not want the help of evangelicals.
Fine, let all the Orthodox churches turn into night clubs. It seems you'd rather have that than to work side by side with your sisters and brothers in Christ.

The evangelicals went to Kosovo in swarms after the war and are still there now. That they say and do nothing about this shows they don't really care. They don't care about separating truth from propaganda and what really happened there beyond the mainstream hype. They only care to collect people for their "team"/church.

They've spread lies - repeating the propaganda without proper investigation - and shown from the start they aim to help the Muslims and/or P.C. (politically correct) people the first and the most.
They care not for peoples' culture nor tradition enough to do enough study and research, therefore they can tend to offend when they tromp over other's lands.
The evangelicals do not take in account a people who've been under assault throughout their history and currently by the international community and other ethnics, and so have become defensive and very protective of their church and ways because of this.
Evangelicals with their white bread American ways and busybody attitude expect others to welcome them. Then many evangelicals want to mold people, cookie-cutter fashion, into being just like themselves instead of really trying to understand the particular and unique circumstances of places like the Balkans.

exactly what kind of 'help' did you offer?
Joan is correct. I hear the same thing, across denominations, from people who *live* in the communities they work with in South & Latin America. New buildings & aid are appreciate, but they prepare the people for rude behavior before mission groups arrive. LOL, you think natives don't realize they AND THE MESSAGE often take second place to Sunday School skits?
California is our Kosovo, how would you feel if Canada dropped bombs on Easter Sunday?
In case you missed it, under US supervision "Churches, monasteries and holy places...they set out to destroy the witnesses, to obliterate the traces. In 2 1/2 months more than 70 monasteries and churches were burned or demolished. Among them were the churches built by our illustrious and holy ancestors in the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries. The churches and monasteries, which SURVIVED 500 YEARS OF TURKISH OCCUPATION, did not endure two months in the presence of a 50,000-strong international 'peacekeeping' force."

Protestant Kosovo Albanian church members(from Muslim backgrounds) also suffer persecution.

It is not necessary to be Serbian or Orthodox (I'm not) to pray for the safety of Christians in Kosovo. You can educate your congressperson about the dismal lack of civil society, nonexistent law enforcement, nonfunctional court system, total lack of religious freedom. 'Standards before status' are now acknowledged as unattainable in Kosovo.
Joan, I hadn't seen the recent church bombing until now. We've either shamed some in our government or they are setting up the kill, $1M in aid authorized for church rebuilding.
Nennsy, how are you?

he's a phony and an opportunist, attention seeker that makes outlandish claims.
He can't substantiate anything about "his trips" into the Balkans except he was sunbaked while on a European beach last summer.
He does the same thing as a few others, will try to textfully cut you down.
