Maybe Mayor Nagin would like to explain this picture before he and the rest of his democratic fellow travelers continue to blast the fed's.

In regards to those that were unable to get out (as opposed to those that could get out and chose to stay), looks to me like the Mayor had a way to help them and he didn't do it. I'm wondering if he isn't guilty of neglilgent homicide.

That's exactly the feeling I got when I listened to the Mayor's interview when it was replayed on CNN this morning. He knows he failed his city. I think he didn't order a mandatory evacuation any sooner than he did because the city had no plan for the people who could not evacuate in theier own cars. I think he spent Thurs, Fri and Saturday hoping the hurricane would hit somewhere else. It's clear he was not arranging evacuation transportation for the people who had none of their own.

The blame should fall SQUARELY on this Mayor's neck.

Want to know the truly gut-wrenching thing? After this is all done with, a few years from now the mass of gubmint tit suckers will vote for that ass-clown AGAIN!!

They will scream: "More! We want MORE!"

I have seen video of these buses on Fox but no commentary to the effect that these buses could have been used to evacuate more people from the city.

A lot of people (such as emergency responders) had good reason to stay. Others WERE in fact infirm and unable to get out--we'll be finding their bodies in a few days, no doubt. Others were simply caught there--are you aware that local stations downplayed the seriousness of the hurricane to a huge degree? Shame on 'em for that. According to some who are admittedly cynical, they didn't want to scare the tourists off.

That said, it is my opinion that the roving gangs of goons stayed behind on purpose, and for one purpose--to loot and pillage.

And, there are no on-board showers and saunas....

...nor DVD players.

Oh, wait. Maybe that is why the thugs were looting them. So that they had them for the ride out.

Where would the people have been bussed to before the storm?

I don't care what it is, as long as it kills sub-humans.

"I need reinforcements," he pleaded. "I need troops, man. I need 500 buses, man. This is a national disaster.

Nagin said, "Get every Greyhound bus in the country and get them moving."

I got those pics from FreedomCalls yesterday afternoon. There had been a thread the day before about the pics so FreedomCalls posted them when I mentioned them. Great pics aren't they!

Those school buses should have been dispatched with megaphones into the projects to tell the peoplke to get out and offer them a ride out of town.

"Now we need to find similar shots of fleets of municipal buses sitting around..."

Bingo! According to what I've heard, the city buses where shut down around noon Sunday.

Hmmm, hard question - school gyms further inland??, NG Armories??, Convention Centers in Baton Rouge?? Just a few off the top of my head. Such places would have been long ago identified in a good catastrophy plan . . .

Are you saying the Mayor ordered an evacuation without coordinating that???

Well, nothing about that idiot would surprise me any more.

I don't know if this has possibly been posted before but it is a must hear radio interview 9-1-05 with New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin who is very frustrated with the situation in New Orleans and with what he claims is a lack of support.

Boy is he pissed!
