Okay. There was something today but it is being kept quiet. People are dazed, numb. Even people who don't have people in NO. Nobody can watch tv long. Everyone has a favorite place that is gone.

Interesting thing. People went over to the open dorms to see if help was needed. The first dorm, the RA said everything was fine, all the students were out volunteering, nobody falling apart, so on. Chipper, everyone busy.

The second dorm the RA was in tears, said everyone was upset, crying, hugging, talking and ventilating. Indeed it was.

My take was that now is the time for people to do something to help, not to ventilate, to be distracted as much as possible.

Later, it will be more sad I do believe. But it is just too much to take in let alone really know how one feels right now.

I never saw anything like this in my life. I do believe it is worse than 911. And there are so many good people working so hard, giving so much. An entire dorm of self centered freshman, all were out volunteering. It is a good group this young generation, don't care what anyone else thinks, they are really good kids.

And everyone is hugging each other. Not being much of a hugger is kind of hard on me, I am more of the "buck up and quit crying" type.

You really meet yourself in times like this.
