In response to Hurricane Katrina, how is President Bush doing?

Too early to tell
Poor is at 53?!!!!
You mean, the President is doing that well! Who'd a thunk it.
I don't recall hearing ANY footage from the reporters in NO at the time AIrForce One flew over and at only 1700 feet, THAT PLANE STICKS OUT!
AOL takes every opportunity to Bash BUSH......
I think DU must monitor their POLL (or AOL alerts DU because they sure get there early to vote)
FOX showed AF1 doing the flyover but I haven't heard it reported in the MSM.
A vote for the Pres and a BTTT!
Excellent 15%
We haven't seen criticism of the NOLA mayor or LA Gov. Blanco.......since both are Dems.

Nobody's criticizing the mayor, or the useless Sen. Landrieu, but I've been Blanco getting totally raked over the coals. Total deer-in-the-headlights response that even the MSM cannot ignore. Her political career is over once her term ends.
they should be asking how the GOVENOR, MAYORS etc.... of Louisiana are doing regarding the NEW ORLEANS Hurricaine. I think the local and state government is doing terribly. What is up with that? Did they not know they lived in a bowl. I did and didn't even live there.
I posted this on another thread but I'll probably post it 100 times before the night is out:
A good friend of mine went down to NOLA the day after the hurricane to find his father who had refused to leave his house. He's been nearly impossible to get ahold of since he left. This is an email I just received from my friend's fiance
I finally got through a bit ago (if you call and get the message about a hurricane, keep dialing and eventually it might get through) and here is the deal... he's still at his parents' battered but standing non-functional house with his dad. Him and a few other neighborhood people are cleaning up the neighborhood to make it easier once people start getting in there to try and fix things. They have collected their firearms for when the looters come in to try and rob them. But there are only a few of them with a couple pistols, and the looters, who were across the street last night, are large in number and heavily armed. And he won't leave, he doesn't want his parents' stuff stolen. I know he is capable and smart, but he also has a temper and I am scared to death that he's going to get himself killed. They think people will try to start looting their street tonight so if anyone has any good thoughts as to how I get through tonight unable to get ahold of him and wondering if someone shot him to get in the house or steal his truck, please let me know. He said before he'd be home this weekend but I know he'll be afraid to leave his parents so will probably stay longer, and even then I don't know if he'll find enough gas to get home. Not just there, everywhere I'm hearing! So, if anyone is bored and feels like calling fitty times to try and get through to him and succeed, please tell him ***** can't afford a house or take care of 4 dogs alone, thank you. For now he is ok, so I pray he stays that way... If I hear anything useful, and the 4 calls already today from his mom do NOT count as useful, I will let you know. stacey
Please vote & ping your FRiends!
I apologize in advance for any double pings.
Bump for Later...though I do think the "Let's go back to Egypt" perfectly fits the Democrats...I want to develop it a little, but I don't have time right now.
Well he hasn't really done anything yet, good or bad. It's too soon to tell. It will be a while - maybe a long time - before anything he does will have a profound effect. Not a slam on him, just a recognition of reality.
Scientists have been predicting something resembling Atlantis would happen if NOLA got hit by a # 5 hurricane.
Why didn't the governor declare marial law before the storm..... send in buses & get those with no transportation out instead of creating the mess at the Superdome?
Last night on CNN (FNC was on repeats of O'Reilly) they tried to interview refugees coming off the first bus out of the Superdome to the Astrodome.
The stuck a microphone in one ladies face who was shouting that "Morial took care of them, Morial helped them, Nagin does nothing for us, Nagin is worthless".
Needless to say CNN went back to the station and cut the interview short.
That would make too much sense!
IMHO, your use of the word looters is too kind. I would call them domestic terrorists and feel that they should be dealt with accordingly.
