I wouldn't call it gouging, diesel's big claim to fame is being cheaper than gas, how much cheaper though nobody says. If gas is selling at X then diesel for X- 10 cents sounds fair to me. It's a pretty rare thing for me to accuse somebody of gouging, last time I remember doing that was when some guys were selling gas for $5 on 9-11 that was definitely gouging (no serious threat to the supply line yet more than doubling the price), short of that it's just taking advantage of market conditions. And while I'm sure this is going to put a slight crimp in the diesel supply chain it probably won't be nearly as bad as gas.
