and as it was the Friday of the May Bank Holiday weekend it was decided that the excavation of the grave should be completed that day. This might involve staying on a little bit late on a Friday afternoon, but not, it was thought, very late. Chuckling here, as one who has lived in England, and understands the significance of that sentence. But thanks for posting this. A good read.

How 'bout that articulated instep? I have a hard time visualizing that, but it seems it would make it difficult to climb or jump. Never heard of such a thing.
