Last night they were interviewing the LA attorney general on Fox. He was essentially making excuses for the looters.
I don't understand that either. Unless the looters homes were very close to the places they're looting.

No meaning to offend but you must lead a sheltered life....there are people out there that are nothing short of animals....hospitals have drugs....drugs equal quick high and money....
They are not afraid of the doctors and nurses....would kill them to get what they want....
To give you an idea of the magnitude of thier determination and "evilness", two attacked a NO police station last night with rifles described by the press as AK-47's....Yes, they were not being pursued by the police, they intentionally attacked a police station ala Bagdad style.....

I just wanted to add my 2 cents on the suggestion to donate through your employer (in order to recieve matching donations).
The success of this plan really depends on the specific charity. If, for example, your company matches funds to The United Way, you're better off sending $10 to the Salvation Army than $20 to UW. Due to the amount that charities like UW spend in advertising and administration, very little of your contribution will actually reach the intended recipients.
I suggest everyone spend a few minutes to research and donate where they'll see the most "bang for the buck."

The would be looters need to be jailed in neighboring jails, somewhere, and the whole situation needs to be controlled as best as can be.

If they're going to surrender any drugs to looters, I would make sure some cardiac and other medications made it into the pile. A little epinephrine 1:1000 into a vein would give them a high they'd not soon forget.
Yep, get the elderly, inform, children and pregnant women out first.
Put the prisoners, looters, drugs addicts, contagious people with AIDS, etc. in the leaking superdome, and let them wait it out. Not so sure I would even waste guards on them....

When clear thinking starts to prevail, these questions will need to be answered. We all should help, but don't piss down my leg. They will be markedly more manageble if not congregated and if they are spead out geographically.
