Same as it is elsewhere in LA - open carry and shall issue permits.
The problem is that NO is overrun with the "poor" and is heavily gang-infested.

Probability is that the decent poor folks of New Orleans can be found at the Superdome...the others didn't want to go through the storm without their booze, drugs and weapons.

The two cops were not white; they were black trash cops.See post 47.

The stealing or the busting? The TV reporter was priceless. He was interviewing looters making look like the morons they are when he happened on two BF NO cops. They were pulling a basket and "shopping"! The reporter tried to interview them but they weren't up for it. The reporter had a great sense of humor!

Why haven't they declared marshal law and curfews?

Don't you know it's politically incorrect to show minorities in a bad light? Some cameraman and reporters will lose their job for showing too many looting. Watch for the news spiking of their behavior by the networks. They won't even show the tower attacks anymore for fear they'll upset some muslims.

All the videos I have seen, the looters were all black. What's up with that?I think we need a "Looting Desegregation" plan. Whites should be bussed in from other parts of Louisiana to provide a more diverse looting experience....

You know, my sympathy for the poor folks of NO has now completely run out. Build a wall around Louisanna's newest swamp and shoot anyone who tries to leave.....
These people make the Iraqi's look civilized....

The NOPD has been greatly cleaned up from the era where my father knew some of them. The graft then was legendary!
And they have the video on Tucker Carlson. It is priceless. The reporter was on his A game and was "interviewing" the looters when he happened on two of NO's finest pulling a shopping cart full of loot taking more off the shelves! IT IS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!

Now we know why Al Sharpton was in such a hurry driving 110mph. He wanted to get down there and load up the back of the car with rolexs and armanis.

Looks like I might be wrong on Louisiana's gun laws. Though NO's mayor remains a gun-hating Leftist a**hole, the STATE laws are enough to make Sarah Brady's head explode.

As I've been saying, oh, my, can it get any worse? What the hurricane hasn't destroyed, the residents seem hell bent on destroying.

These looters after all they are just profiling
