Yeah. That "everyone" pretty much includes people who have both a heart and a brain.
Folks that can both see the bigger picture and still care enough about their fellow human beings to realize that we don't have to have written permission from the Founders to do the right thing, or the smart thing.
That's fine. For all I know yours is the smart, correct position to take. I think it's noteworthy that on THE conservative forum, the Constitution is clearly a matter of convenience. The only debate would be under what circumstances to shelve it. If that's you believe, it appears the overwhelming majority of conservatives agree with you. So there it is. The Constitution is optional. If you believe that is the right way to go, as you say it is, then you shouldn't object to me pointing it out.
