Yeah they did. I imagine that next time even more fools will hang around New Orleans because they "survived the big one." Lord. I fear we are about to find out where the bullet actually did hit... along the MS coast where the worst of the storm went and where we aren't hearing anything at all.
I suppose you could call months of recovery, compared with years of recovery, "dodging the bullet."
They didn't dodge the bullet, the just got shot with a smaller caliber.
No they did not, when eye wall hits you or hits very very close, you did not dodge the bullet. And the west wall was just as strong as the east wall, maybe stronger, with this storm.
