CNN said that earlier, I think..."total structural collapse" in NOLA. Some folks keep saying "the worst is over" and others are saying it's still getting worse.
CNN reporting 10 feet of water on Hwy 90 in Gulfport
Have there any reports from Slidell?
OK . . . let me break this down for the ignorant people who keep saying the worst is over. Hurricanes are more than a wind event. New Orleans is in for SEVERAL MORE HOURS of rain and heavy winds. Stuff that has already been breeched and damaged will be FURTHER DAMAGED as winds, REGARDLESS OF STRENGTH, continue. North wind across Lake Ponchartrain may still drive water over levees or breach them completely, allowing water to pour into New Orleans and its Western Suburbs. People in Mississippi and Alabama will die today as flood waters rise. The surges in Mississippi and Alabama haven't even hit yet. THIS IS JUST BEGINNING!!!
