I thought it could hold 70,000 people; is that all that showed up?

People are mixing up post and what is being discussed... Army and I were discussing the deaths from the 1900 Galveston hurricane in which 8,000 out of 38,000 residents were lost. That is some 21%. That is what the numbers were referring to.

(If you want something bad enough, there's someone who will sell it to you. Even the truth your way.)

Obviously, hurricane evacuations are somewhat less entertaining. The SuperDome will be accommodating mostly those who, for whatever reason, can't (or won't) leave town. Good luck to them.
