Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. Thousands of people did not evacuate New Orleans. Outer bands of Katrina are reaching the Louisiana coast.
Due to the size and intensity of this storm, all interests in the North Gulf of Mexico should be in their safe locations.

Realisticly, people should have been evacuated to shelters inland on Saturday. Right now, there is no way out of NO, and the Superdome is as good a place as any
Try and get 1150 AM.
Certainly we will see the worst and best of man in the
next few hours and days.
Oh, please! We don't need foreign aid. We give aid, we don't receive it.
.
You cheek-kisser. (This response has been sterile cleansed for AdminMod consumption)
No, she asked him if he was STAYING inside the dome, and he and his crew are.
Well that didn't stop the news channels from showing the long queues outside the stadium all day long and interviewing a bunch of them in the process.
LOL! Good to laugh now before the awestruckness of tomorrow.
He lives 30 miles from the coast, but I tracked his posts today and he said "getting out of Dodge" -- but I'm not certain I believe him. I can't find my little phonebook or I'd call him or his daughter right now.
You know that my husband and I just 2 weeks ago had dinner with him and his family in Gulfport. The same Holdiay Inn where we stayed has now been evaucated and FNC said they're expecting the first 2 floors to be underwater. WHOA!
I didn't post a whole thread; just mentioned it on a few pertinent threads as an off topic. I don't think it got a single response. LOL
Hopefully he'll find it more to his liking at FNC. As long as we never have to hire Wolf Blitzer. That would be intolerable :-)
Dear Fox: please give Dari his anchor job.
< I must admit I'm worried about that damfool as well. >
Awww...Fudd Fan...are you mellowing on us?
I watched it being built from my 12th floor dorm room window at Loyola University. It was neat seeing the lights of the city at dusk through the steel structure.
I sadly agree.
I can't imagine being in the superdome with 20,000-30,000 other people close to the edge and no power or lights. Sounds close to hell to me.
Where were you 12 hours ago?
well guess she'll have to pray to the scientology aliens to help her out
And it does sucks, Fox, that is. What else do you expect from a mostly bunch of leftist neocons, anyway?
Greta might be thinking Natalee Holloway's body will wash up in the French Quarter. But then she might have to let go of the story.
I'd say I'm on my way.... but...
(Laughter break!)
