Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Oh boy, am I tempted to post that as it's own thread, do you know if it's been done?
See #3020
They were just there hoping there would be some disruption they could report and since there wasn't any, they probably didn't even have their cameras on. :(
That shot is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
It's the least that can be done to thank YOU ALL for what you are doing. Always know our hearts, prayers and support wre with you as are the majority of this country!
Stay safe!
Thank You..
The California folks present wouldn't agree to take her back! :) Maybe we can send her to Chautauqua NY?
3,000 pro-US supporters!!! WOW!!!
Just like the Vietnam War--IN REVERSE
We've learned a lot since then!
Ted "Motor City Madman" (now living near Crawford Texas, predates most of talk radio. He wrote a great book "Kill it and Grill It". (His preferred tool for the killing part seems to be a compound bow).
This was in Texas. If it had sounded like a civil war, there would have been gunfire. I didn't hear any gunfire. Maybe next time?
One of the Protest Warrior sign carriers was from Minnesota. I thought I recognized his photo. Can't wait to hear his story.
Great pics, Archer. Thanks for posting them.
I understand the photo op is announced for the same time every day, just in case you just arrived
- it is like a fake holy statue crying fake tears at the instigation of the fraud standing behind the curtains holding the squeeze tube, counting his money. Fenton and Associates.
Great pics! Thanks to all of you for posting these. What a great day!
Does anyone know if this is going to be on Radio or C-span for the cubicle bound?
We got there a little late, just prior to the start, and I walked around looking for the MOAB. I figured that would be the easiest thing to spot, but didn't see that either. When I saw Petroni I asked about you guys and he told me y'all were walking around and assured me we'd all meet up sometime. HA!
Then of course, the heat kept pounding at us all - even through the top of that tent - and I kept looking down at those small pebbles we stood on. I was mostly concentrating on trying to keep my face from doing a dive into those rocks! From then on, I just kept trying to see where the EMS guys were, in case I needed oxygen.
Even though I'm disappointed that we missed a meet-up, I'm grateful we could all be there to honor our bravest and finest American Troops and that we made such a strong showing.
No worries, Ma'am.
It just goes to show what a large event it was.
I now know there were lots of patriots there whom I didn't see.
We got some good pix, though! :-)
I'm glad you stayed in the shade, only mad dogs and Englishmen
venture out in the mid-day sun.
(Or us guys, but we ain't right.)
