Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
ROFL
Poor Kristinn and everybody else who went to Crawford today. It's NEVER a dry heat around here, and we haven't hit peak heat yet -- that will come in September, sigh.
But DeLay is near by Sugarland, same county. DeLay has plenty of supporters down there.
I just repeatedly tried to get hold of somebody on WOAI or Fox News Radio to protest the most enraging, outrageous thing I have ever heard in my life.
With 3,000 counter-protestors, all they did on the four o'clock radio news (Fox) was to broadcast a sound bite from Cindy Sheehan!
This is beyond frustrating.
Exactly. In their dreams. LOL
Everyone upset at FOX, blast their E-Mails and phone lines if you haven't done so.
But don't let them depress you. The people at that rally are the Truth. the Truth those media polls are denying. That this country and those that support her, her troops and her President are far more passionate, committed and larger than anything the bought off professionals on the other side can claim. We're the majority, and none of those people down there gives a damn if the media tries to hide it and neither should we be depressed by it. Because they represent millions more the media won't acknowledge and that keep kicking their butts time and again.
My attitude is to just keep going bigger and give the MSM Hell, make the Dems cry for mercy and make the hagel's wish they'd kept their traps shut.
The people down at that rally are American heros supporting American heros. God Bless them.
He was back in front of the White House the next day. I guess the shots of him and his bike were taped.
Good thing they switched to Aruba...that line of cars on the interstate in LA is not moving at all.
Yes I do know Geraldo! LOL
Mr.FF worked briefly at the local ABC station in NYC in the very early '70s (his first broadcasting job) where Geraldo was one of several local reporters. This was before he did the Willowbrook scandal story which made him a houselhold name. Mr.FF says he was a joke at the station even then.
Met too. Excellent.
I scrolled back trying to find Fox news contacts but couldn't find them.
LOL!! I love that sign!
The press can go to Hell. Or perhaps they'd like to apply for a job with al Jazeera.
In a way he's right, the "Architect" did help get W reelected after all, LOL.
We'll have to learn the secret handshake first :) Now that expectations have been built up, if Tuesday comes and goes without any FR TV we're gonna be severely disappointed!
Thank you for the great picture. Soooo, that's what Eaker looks like. He looks like he should drive that yellow NASCAR car.

Get Geraldo on the phone! He's wants to be a hero for once, here's his chance!
Well stated.
The driver of this van flashed a peace sign, to which everyone gave a thumbs down LOL
