Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
I hope so too. The Walter Reed/Code Pink thing is not doing them any good.
Many people are ashamed that they did not speak up loudly during the VN protests and are absolutely determined not to let it happen again.
I think that the momentum is going to end up being on our side. That kind of stuff contributes to it.
I didn't know that you, Justanobody, have dedicated your time to supporting our military men and women at Walter Reed! God bless you!!!!!!!!!!!! You aren't just a "nobody" to me, you're a gift from God. :) chena
Thank you. The writer didn't use it correctly, though.
I think bvw apologized and addressed this issue a couple of hours ago. Now you look like a moron.
I stand corrected. Jeff Key. Thank you. Well the part about roughing up the photographer was right. It's off NRO's 'The Buzz'.
I'm gonna call the Dallas Morning News, Channel 8, 5,11, and 4 and and ask them if they are going to cover the fact that the supporters of Bush at Crawford far outnumber the hippies.
I was waiting for Elmer to find it spelled his way..... so far he hasn't posted it
Oh dear, this is so upsetting--my two cousins in the Marines had indicated the same thing to their mother. Please tell your daughter that there are so many more of us who don't agree with Sheehan and her opportunistic leftist swine. They really don't represent America, truly! That is what my cousin tells her sons; to spread the word to their buddies, don't trust the media to show you the truth--they hone in on the Cindyites because they have a biased left wing agenda. But most of our brave men and women are smart enough to have figured this out, I am sure.
LOL
You must have read my mind!!
I was on this thread and missed it, my TV is too far away from the computer, was it fair?
Just sent you FRmail. Wish I could have spent the day in Crawford. It gives me chills to watch all these wonderful patriots. Makes me proud to be an American and proud that many will stand up to those who don't have our country's best interest at heart.
That's my guess. And, as I mentioned in a previous, Kelly looked like he was "reporting" from the ranch. The same old hay bales and sheds were in the background. He probably hasn't a clue as to what's going on in town.
FRTV--love that idea!
Agreed. As disgusting as it is, I hope the Pinkos/Hippies/Sheehanites stay visible--let everyone see what the anti-American left looks like.
And actually both spellings are acceptable.
Thanks--will repeat the emails
Gosh, it feels like we are fighting 3 war fronts, the anti-American rats, along with the MSMwhores, and now Kritrina! Prayers for those folks in Katrina's path. :(
Hi jonny! How's get going?
What'd I miss? All they're covering is hurricane-related stuff.
