Impressive rant, but Rush neveer answered the guy's question. Why DON'T more CEO's politicians, etc. have kids in uniform? A few do, but most don't. No matter what your position on the war, that's a valid question IMHO.

It's easy to put a yellow magnet on your car and say "I support the troops." But for too many people that's as far as it goes.

Agreed. One thing I've noticed on the show, and it has happened to me when I've called in, when it's a chance to make a point, and one that is uncomfortable for him to handle or he's left himself open, he's dispatched the caller into neverland.

While this caller may have been your typical liberal lefty, there are some questions that in a give and take dialog could be discussed, explored and dealt with that would be interesting and educational. Instead, we get a slam dunk one sided close. There are some real loons that get on his show and there are some "seminar callers". But then again, listen to AAR and the same thing happens, loons and seminar callers from the right. But there are questions that need or should be dealt with in a dialog.

Again, I've heard too many interesting callers be gone once Rush goes into his "I will have the final word rant."

Yup. There's nothing in that speech that's really going to help anyone here answer hostile questions like the one he was asked, stuff along the lines of "When I watch the news from Iraq, where are the children of people like Hillary Clinton and George Bush?" - talk about a "volunteer army" just dodges the question, I expect an Arny recruiter would be delighted if Chelsea or Jenna walked through the door.

Fullabull.

He's spent MORE time with some of the non-entertaing 'libs' than he really has HAD to. It can really get rather boring, listening to the same droning moronic 'tone' lib after lib or moderate after moderate.

DOLLARS to any donuts you may have - that you were boring or pedantic.

Do you happen to know the date and hour you were 'on'?
