The Heart of Texas Chapter is planning a return to Crawford on Saturday, August 27. Our purpose this time will be to team up with the Move America Forward Caravan, which will originate in California, and pick up supporters from across the country. More can be found about Move America Forward here:MAF
We hope that with this much advance notice, more Freepers will be able to join us this time.
I have spent most of the day trying to contact someone at MAF, but they are so busy they haven't gotten back to me yet. However, it shouldn't be hard to notice a caravan of buses and cars in Crawford, so we will be able to jump in with them with no problem.
I spoke with Police Chief Donnie today, and he really seemed happy to hear that we were coming back. We won't need a permit this time, as we will be a tag on to the MAF permit.
Everyone with suggestions for signs, tactics, etc. please chime in. This will be another Support the Troops Rally--but MAF will probably get in a little Sheehan bashing--which is fine with me!
ROFLOL!!!
Hubby talked to some leftie reporters last week. All they wanted him to say was that we were there against Cindy. He wouldn't give in to them. He kept saying we were there to support the troops. It made them mad. The very fact that we wouldn't fall into their trap removed from them the ability to attack us for "attacking" her. It kept the high ground and took away their media extravaganza. Actually made Cindy look irrelevant.
Unfortunately, Anderson Cooper is doing it FOR you...
He characterized the pro-troops people as the ANTI-Cindy or Anti-Sheehan group...
Basil is a girl, btw. A petite, tiny, red headed ball of fire, LOL!
If you need any help just let me know. ;^)
:-)
The lefties are already over the edge, lol. Let's pray the locals keep their guns and liquor out of sight until this thing runs its course. The President has bent over backwards to be a considerate, unobtrusive neighbor who doesn't inconvenience anybody when he's at the ranch, and now somebody like Cindy has to go and disturb the peace out there.
She plans on following him to Washington when he goes back. I think she should be arrested Johnny-on-the-spot if she does. She's already a stalker. One of her groupies might take it upon themselves to prove just how much they believe in her cause. Just like the sicko who shot Reagan.
We're on our way out the door for dinner with church buddies. And I'm going to see if I might be able to talk someone into joining us Saturday, LOL!
Ya'll try to keep the thread bumped and I'll see you later!
I listen to Ankarlo in the morning just about every day.
I just saw on FOX News that Molly Hennenberg is in Crawford. They showed the soon to be ex-Mrs. Sheehan saying something like the universe chose her to bring forth her message. Rush said on his show today that Cindy has been actively involved in the Dem party for years.
Alan Colmes has so little to say that he'll spit out some hatred instead of closing his yap.
ANd one more thing... a Crawford mother was concerned about the local kiddos and that all the cars and media attention is a bit scary for them (since I think the town population is something like less than 800). I know there are a lot of generous FReepers here, and a lot of resources, too. Anyone have the means to perhaps donate a new computer or something (as a thank you to the Crawford folks) to the local school? Can we do that? Is that discouraged?
I could be 100% wrong here (I don't think I am, but who knows?) My suggestion is that we should take our cues from them. Bring some extra poster board and pens and we can make signs supporting their agenda.
This is just a suggestion. We are not entirely in charge this go around.
It's called a Yellow Dog Democrat...Even if only a yellow dog were running on the Democratic Ticket, they would vote for him.
I like it too. Anything legal to annoy a liberal. Look on my FReep page. What if I bring a sign with the picture of the "How 'bout rootin' for our side?"
No, nobody around here that I know blames the President. He's always tried to make sure his presence doesn't inconvenience anybody in the area. He and Laura quietly contribute to the PTA, Volunteer Fire Dept., etc. He rarely leaves the ranch to go into Waco because it requires shutting down the highway. Most people had a lot of sympathy for Cindy at first, but then she started running her mouth. Any caring person knows she's in pain, but she's used her pain as an excuse to act badly. Today's Waco Tribune Herald website has a poll asking if W should see her. Last time I looked 62% of the respondents said he should. Makes me think the DUmmies are voting overtime.
Something else that bugs them are posters proclaiming that Casey is an American Hero versus their view of him as a victim of murder. And I imagine that "support Pres Bush" posters would not be popular with them either.
I may be wrong about that--I'm just giving my impression and thoughts here. Who knows--I could be a committee of one--LOL!
Is Waco so uninformed that they don't know he's already met with her...or they don't care and want him to met her again?
That was rhetorical question, no need to answer it.
When will the Shi'ite cindy nightmare end. She is on everyones last nerve.
:::shrugging:::: This same newspaper endorsed John Kerry in 2004, and is now waging an all out daily ad campaign in conjunction with Baylor to encourage W to select Baylor University for his library. Go figure -- I guess they don't see the irony. While Waco does have its fair share of lefties, I think this poll is being manipulated by groups who share Cindy's agenda. This area waves the red, white, and blue big time when it comes to supporting our troops. Ft. Hood is just a stone's throw away.
