The Heart of Texas Chapter is planning a return to Crawford on Saturday, August 27. Our purpose this time will be to team up with the Move America Forward Caravan, which will originate in California, and pick up supporters from across the country. More can be found about Move America Forward here:MAF
We hope that with this much advance notice, more Freepers will be able to join us this time.
I have spent most of the day trying to contact someone at MAF, but they are so busy they haven't gotten back to me yet. However, it shouldn't be hard to notice a caravan of buses and cars in Crawford, so we will be able to jump in with them with no problem.
I spoke with Police Chief Donnie today, and he really seemed happy to hear that we were coming back. We won't need a permit this time, as we will be a tag on to the MAF permit.
Everyone with suggestions for signs, tactics, etc. please chime in. This will be another Support the Troops Rally--but MAF will probably get in a little Sheehan bashing--which is fine with me!
Now, now, now....those are DEMOCRAT crosses.
Sheesh, can't you tell? ;)
Oh my stars...I think I just had a flashback looking at him. He must be trapped in the 60's, the poor dear. Lololol
Are you going THIS weekend and on the 27th, when this thread's rally is scheduled?
"anyone wonder why the ACLU is not in Crawford right now fighting to have these crosses removed from public property???"
Why, I had that SAME exact thought just last night!
I made the mistake of turning on CNN a few minutes ago...and Wolf had on Anderson Cooper who is at Crawford and Cindy's picnic...
He said Cindy was "resting"...anyway, Wolf catagorized this THE BIGGEST STORY right now...
Let's see...Gaza, Able Danger, the DOD warning Clinton back in 1995 about Bin Ladin....yep, it figures that this would be CNNs biggest story...blech..
Darrell Ankarlo, the Dallas radio talk show host who has suffered some awful hate e-mails is supposed to go down there this evening to be interviewed on Anderson Cooper's show at 6:00 Central time..
Sounds like Wolf is rather shallow, huh.
Rain would slide right off of him!
LOL!!!

My signs will be pro-Commander in Chief and pro-military, freaky liberals, etc. but this "anti-"Sheehan thing...I heard one of the radio or tv conservative personalities saying that our side should be able to protest her hatred for the President and the military operations *just like* she has the right to speak out. Personally, I agree, however, I have a thing about being "anti" this woman. And the mainstream media seem (is media singular or plural?) to think that no one should stand in protest of this woman, blah, blah, blah.
That said -- they make me nervous as their protest size grows.
Wish I could join you as I live in the area, but won't be here that day. Just a head's up for everybody -- the locals are fed up and becoming very vocal about what they'd like to do to Cindy. She ceased being a sympathetic figure about 15 seconds into this, and the inconvenience she and her entourage are causing are angering many people in the area. She was the topic of conversation everywhere I went today, and nobody has one tolerant word to say about her. I hope some good ole boy doesn't take matters into his own hands. Y'all be safe.
I'd imagine the gentleman who's allowing them to move on to his land isn't real popular either, is he?
laugh... that's because y'all left home at 3am... hahahahaha.... now I will NOT leave THAT early.. ;)
No, he isn't. From what I understand, he's an absent landowner who lives in the liberal bastion of Austin. I am seriously worried about the potential for violence while Cindy twists things to suit her own agenda. She now claims the ranch owner near Camp Casey shot at her -- I have no doubt those were warning shots, but she needs to be careful about her spin. People won't take kindly to her making unfounded claims. The rhetoric is heating up.......
No. We went to Crawford last weekend. I'll push my hubby a little more to take me on the 27th.
Ya know, if you see those pics with Cindy and kids, I've been worrying about her teen daughter being alone - what with her mom out in the sticks making a fool of herself.
And I've finally come to the conclusion that Cindy doesn't give a flying flip for her family anymore. She's too busy hogging the "15 Min." of fame she's getting!
No wonder her family is so grossed out.
I hope the good citizens of Crawford will take a weekend excursion on the 27th. I suspect this thing is going to snowball beyond anyone's estimate.
Anderson Cooper has himself stationed down there in Cindy's picnic area...he was saying there were several dozen regular Cindy followers and only 1 or 2 "ANTI-sheehan" people..
So, you see the CNN people refer to the counter protestors "anti-Sheehan"....their spin always!!
BTW--everyone---Darell Ankarlo will be interviewed down there tonight by Anderson Cooper..
Remember, Ankarlo is the radio host here in Dallas that went down with a caravan last Saturday..and tried 6 times to see Cindy, but her lawyer wouldn't let him see her...
Last night, Alan Colmes had him on his radio show..and Ankarlo was pointing out to Alan that Pres. Bush HAD seen Cindy already and there is even a picture with Bush kissing Cindy's cheek..
Alan said, "I bet you take that picture to bed with you every night, too, don't you?"====
Ankarlo just went quiet for a few minutes and then told Alan he had to hang up.
What a jerk Alan is and what a sick, disgusting thing for him to say to a man whose son is in Iraq...for the 2nd time.
I don't mind them. Lets me know whom I want to get to know better and who to avoid.
