The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!
Also, hopefully (coupled with the other rally of that day and the one the day before), it represents just the start of the counter-rallies in Crawford that will show the vast support our troops have in this nation as opposed to the contrived and coriographed hate and anti-American sentiments the other side is trying to pass off...and yes, to pass of as grief, thinking it is unassailable.
She was "organizing" her "parade" so that in the process of lining up the lead cars our parking lot became completely inaccessible. No one could leave our rally; no one could enter our rally. Fortunately, it only took a quick word with the Officer in charge to solve that problem.
Yes he does have Spina Bifida. That is a picture of myself and 6 of our children. DH and oldest son were there but aren't in that picture. We were a bit shy being our first rally. Hopefully next time we will get in the groove.
How old is your daughter?
I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet you! The whole thing was such a whirl-wind!
I promise to have her home by midnight, and I won't do anything you wouldn't do. :-)
I noticed the no eye contact too. A couple of men probably a little older than me did give the kids a peace sign. I thought that was kind of funny. I was taking pictures when they started lining up and then we moved because I could tell something was up by them blocking the entrances but I wasn't sure what else they might try.
I'm sorry I didn't speak with you and your family -- I get behind my camera and get shy around people.... it was wonderful to see yall there.

Note lack of American Flags and the encouragment of using her name as the tag. I thought this was about Casey. Just goes to show he is being lost in all of this. Support Casey and our troops. Add appropriate comments.
seems Dru didn't like my comments. Including one calling Casey the Hero. Asking if they gathered permission from all 1000 families for their sons and daughters photos and deaths to be used for their "cause" etc. I guess Flickr allows editing of comments by the poster. :(.
I know you wouldn't, she'd kick your butt. :)
I tried that but was not successful. I usually thought that while that cooks I will freep a few minutes and come back and take care of it. Then much later I would remember the food cooking. Too late. Burned. I have done it several times so no more, hopefully. Can't promise. It's easy to fill a few empty minutes freeping, or so you think.
Being a bright little guy, he'll soon figure out that you have put up with the car ride and being strapped in to get to the good stuff. Most little kids his age, and older even, don't like being strapped in. We had to actually spank our older girl to get her not to unbuckle her harness when she was in her car seat. And she even liked riding in the car, just not being buckled in. Only took the once, she's a bright girl too. :) (Es la madre de la Senorita Victoria y un abogata en Austin)
OMIGOSH! I have an old friend and colleague in Centerville. she has three sons, all in the armed forces, all served over there..
I wonder if this is one of her sons??
Sure looks like a refugee from the 60s.
I saw Dr. Raoul on Fox. Yea!!!!!!!
Add to it or replace it with a Texas State Rifle Association "Raging Bull". That seems to work well for me.
