The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

Twas my extreme pleasure! I'd like to do it again, with even more freepers....even joining forces with other conservatives...tomorrow if needed! Or next weekend!
Line up in a big row on the road with signs and throwing verbal bombs, chants, etc....!!
My problem is I get TOO verbal...need my wife to calm me down

This is a giant liberty bell (it sounded BIG) set up in front of the Yellow Rose gift shop in Crawford. The owner of that great shop is very much pro-Bush, pro-America and pro-troops. The bell is flanked by giant slabs with the 10 commandments clearly written on them.

CNN Headline News just ran a report. They commented about the four mothers, who support the troops and the president, that have sons in Iraq. Some shots of the rally as well.

The fact that Medea even bothered to discuss this with Texan policemen is yet another proof that she's permanently resident on Planet Zongo. I don't think the story of Medea and company setting the police on the FReepers was about todays event, but some earlier one that Dr. R had participated in. As it turned out, only the Anti's ended up being frisked for weapons. :) We are the good guys, and the police know it.

No offense taken. I do think it needs to be four syllables, though. Rolls of the tongue nicely.
Hmm...
