I think this is a discussion linked to our observation that "something about that boy ain't right"
He just seems strange to me. Not your run of the mill impulsive, agressive sociopath. Something else. Stray remarks from people sort of gelled for me with this. And his inappropriateness at times.

I think there's a difference between an excuse and a reason. When bad things happen we usually want to find a reason.

Which begs the question:
Is he morally bent because of his health, or is he unheathy because he's amoral.
Guess I'm of the latter view.

Yes. She knows him; and I seem to remember she thought at one time she loved him. That could then go either way. Some betrayed girlfriends often are bitter and out for blood. However, it does not seem she hates him, nor is it likely she loves him.
She lives there. I remember a time when the town I live in was in the news for awhile. The news are looking for the worst to make the story more alive, and interesting. While what was in the news was correct it was skewed for effect.
We know so few real details that a rush to judgment or declaring another's thoughts or motivations does not seem relative.
Very frustrating case. All the time it is becoming more likely to end up a cold case. The $1,000,000 reward for information of Natalie being alive has turned up nothing. The $50,000 for information of her whereabouts has at least brought forth some information. Let us pray for a miracle.

you're getting over my head now, but if there were Hx or rumors of seizure type incidents, maybe so. I thought steroids because of their attractiveness to sport wannabe "soft boys" (fuhrmann, last wk, LOL), taken prior to epiphyseal solidification.

find a reason. pin it on a medical excuse instead of a moral defect, IMO.
Sorry if that sounds cold.

I was wondering if you think Joran's size in relation to his parents and siblings is indicative of gigantism or some other pituitary problem. If so, could this or the treatment for it have caused his rumored psychiatric problems? Having grown up in a heavily Dutch area in the United States I am guessing his size (height and shoe) is hereditary. There is probably a tall grandfather in his background.

Well both fit..according to Michael Savage, liberalism IS a mental disorder...

Sorry, but my sympathies do not lie with his skanky ex-girlfriend posting intimate details for all the world to see on a public forum, bashing American tourists and lamenting how misunderstood Joran is.
While Natalee's likely dead and he probably killed her.

It's not cold (I don't think). By putting any type of disorder or illness onto one's actions, it automatically gives an excuse of "well in the end he just couldn't help himself."

Didn't read down the thread.
I'm not trying to find a medical excuse for Joran's actions. I was just thinking about his size in relation to his parents last night and this morning. That being the first domino I started hypothesizing about what would make this guy act like such an idiot.
No, I think Joran is in it up to his rectal verge but I, being a conspiracy nut, am about 98% sure that there are a hell of a lot more involved in this than just Joran and the Alpo brothers.
I think we're all going to be like HOLY MACARONI!!! when all that's happened comes to light.

Only a block away, huh? The Kalpoe brothers mom said that Joran had called for a ride to C&Cs that night. If he called for only that why not drop him off on the way to pick Deepak up from work? If he called to ask them to go out why not go straight from work? (Given how they all dress and the rigors of his job, Deepak didn't need to exactly clean up and change to go out.)
Not exactly a spontaneous trip to C&Cs on a night of the week that Joran described as dead.

When someone excuses their behavior due to a medical condition it should automatically make said excuse null and void.
"I didn't mean to steal and pawn your great-grandmother's broach. It's really not my fault I've been diagnosed as a kleptomaniac. I can't help myself. It's been proven."
WRONG!!! Throw her butt in jail!!!
