The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

From my maryland hotel link in post 2238:

I clicked on the Maryland Hotel search that is a link in the middle of the the page of words, and it took me here, to a car rental in New Jersey.

I was thinking it was the Maryland Hotel, it is not, it is the City hotel. I tried to google Maryland hotel saw that it had pulled 6 million and then google crashed me. or us.

Now for a wild thought, I was thinking that the word
Maryland is actually Mary's land, or the the Mother of Jesus land.

And if a series of nukes goes off along the New Madrid ( or anywhere in the continent) I suppose it will be reported as earthquakes somewhere. This bit of propaganda gives me the creeps more than the real news of the day as it does point to the entities behind al quada.

Lots of speculation and fortune telling here. Ed "Dr. Doom" Dames offers a bleak view of the same time frame based on his remote viewing techniques, but Ed places the blame on a rapid fire series of events on the sun. New Madrid does have a legitimate history, but the fortune tellers are busy making money on predictions of doom.

The "tin foil hat" crew is nicely summarized at this link. I think granny is a lot closer to the probability. China and Russia would still like to take us out.

2 MEN INDICTED ON CHARGES OF CONSPIRACY TO EXPORT CONTROLLED ITEMS

MIAMI, FL - R. Alexander Acosta, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Jesus Torres, Special Agent-In-Charge, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Michael Johnson, Special Agent-In-Charge, Department of Commerce announced today that on August 18, 2005 defendants, Chin Kan Wang and Robin Chang were indicted by a federal grand jury in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on charges of conspiracy to export controlled items and exportation of controlled items in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 371 and Title 50, United States Code, Section 1702.

The Indictment alleges that Chin Kan Wang and Robin Chang conspired to export and did export radio communication encryption modules, from the United States to the People's Republic of China without having applied for and obtaining the required export license. The controlled encryption modules were destined for and sent to a company known as Taiwan Sato Kensetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd., located in Taipei, Taiwan, Peoples Republic of China, for use by the Taiwanese Coast Guard.

If convicted, the statutory maximum sentence for Count one (1) is five (5) years, $250,000 fine; the statutory maximum sentence for Counts two (2) and three (3) is ten (10) years, $50,000 fine.

Mr. Acosta commended the investigative efforts of ICE and the Department of Commerce. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Walleisa.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Erik Rubio Fuentes was captured Monday near Newton Grove. Fuentes and an accomplice were allegedly caught in the act of breaking and entering into a house. Deputies chased the men and eventually captured Fuentes in a cornfield. The second suspect escaped.
Investigators believe Fuentes and other gang members may be responsible for a rash of breaking and entering in Sampson and Wayne counties.

Meanwhile, an international effort is underway to get the MS-13 gang off the streets."
