Vanity: I'm moving to California
8/3/2005 | Me

Posted on 08/03/2005 12:24:40 PM PDT by DesignerChick

I'm considering getting transfered from my job and moving to San Deigo or Los Angeles (where my company has offices.)

Any Freepers want to give a Jersey girl some advice?

I've never been to Ca. but I've had it with Jersey. I know there are at least five Conservatives in Califorina (thats three more than NJ)- help me out people!

Vacationed twice in CA--one in southern CA and one in middle of CA. Glad it was just a vacation. Don't want to ever live there.

Here Here!

Seriously though, sell all your vehicles and buy new ones in Cali. It will be cheaper than trying to retrofit all of them to Cali's emissions standards.

Triple your salary if you don't want to live in a box on mission beach. Learn Spanish.

I hope they're paying you at least $250,000 per year.

BTW, if you choose LA, you might want to check out the cost of a Kevlar suit.

Come to the heartland girl! Where people are people and NOT pretending they're something that they arent. You better put on a PHONY facade in Kalifornica because there, IMAGE IS EVERYTHING! I pity you for wanting to move there!

.Boxer and Feinstein both have alonger life expectancies than Lautenberg..

Lautenberg died, at the age of 106, back in 1989, yet he still shows up for work more than John Kerry.

The weather's better with low hunidity.

San Diego has just about the most perfect weather of anywhere in the state. Freeways are clogged almost all the time. Buy yourself a clunker for the commute.

As a Cali native, given the choice, I would much prefer San Diego...but be prepared, the cost of living is high.

Orange County, which is between LA and San Diego, is a very conservative county (outside of the City of Santa Ana and parts of Anaheim).

San Diego is pretty conservative, but has been electing Donks to the city government.

You must have gone to the wrong places. What places did you visit - Compton and Fresno?
