Democrats had viewed the race as a bellwether for 2006, saying even a strong showing by Hackett in such a heavily GOP district would be a good sign for them in the midterm elections. By my count, Dim vetrans are 0-3 in elections (Kerry, Cleland, and now this guy). Maybe they'll get the message someday? Nah

Do you have links that show what unit Haccket was with and what he did?
I could easily come up with photos that make it look like I was in the thick of things, too.
Odd that his campaign site doesn't say what unit he was in.
