Do you have links that show what unit Haccket was with and what he did?
I could easily come up with photos that make it look like I was in the thick of things, too.
Odd that his campaign site doesn't say what unit he was in.
I have it around somewhere, but he wasn't in a combat unit or role, he was a civil affairs officer.

Haccket's tight lips were because he wanted everybody to think he was active combat.
