Couldn't stay up to watch the end of this very tight race, but thanks to the Ohio Republicans who bothered to show up yesterday and to Rush, who undoubtedly helped get some people to go to the polls with his excellent commentary yesterday. Let this be a lesson for "solid Republican" congressional districts next year. Only Democrats can manufacture votes.

Isn't this the race that was supposed to be a tell-tale of next year's elections? You know, where a democrat upsets a sure Republican victory?
If this race is a clue to next year's mid term elections, we should do just fine.

I never thought I'd say this, but.....I applaud the sound political defeat of my brother Marine (he's really more lawyer than Marine, anyway).
When was the last time the Lefties "mobilized" and invested heavily (time, money, and manpower) and actually won a seat they were expected to lose?
If the 20 Ohio Marienes had died last week, I wonder if she would have still squeaked it out.

Well at least they have found a stragegy for reducing their margin of defeat. (Bring in a military Vetran, don't mention the fact that you are affiliated with the Democratic Party and advocate staying the course in Iraq.)

This is such great news and a renewal of the gloating from November 2004. I am alternately sickened and creeped out by this Hackett guy. I truly believe this was a trial Hillary tactic. Basically running on a huge lie.
