The description of Dave comes through on TV. Great, great guy!

See 1 Samuel 24 also...it may mean that Nat went into a cave, like David, "but only David came out alive."

Nat came out dead...or didn't come out. And there are so many caves on the island.

I think it was said that the lion reference is a landmark outside one of the hotels. The Daniel/David thing may have been an intentional misguide. Shango could be a troll, for all I know. Riddles eventually just irritate me, anyway. :p

That makes sense, too. Whoever he is, this person is pretty well spoken and seems to be equally well informed.

EquuSearch; Dog Teams & Searchers Go To the Atlantis

August 1st, 2005 by Red -->

EquuSearch was notified this morning of a potential place of interest located in the area known as the old Atlantis Hotel. The Atlantis is basically an old run down hotel and abandoned for at least 15 years. Three dog teams searched the many buildings and underground pool areas of the area. Other camera equipment was brought in as well to search the more difficult to get to places. After about two hours of dealing with the dangerous environment, wasps and bats the search only found a plastic bag with a dead animal in it.

More to follow and pictures …

Remember when shango said something to the effect that he speaks with "the voice of God." I wonder if that is a key to his riddles...if all his riddles are biblical references and the answer can be found by looking in the bible.

As to him being a troll, he doesn't feel like a troll...he isn't disruptive, he/she just imparts information. And the use of riddles is probably just to hide his identity and the source of the information.

Also, I always thought it strange that shango knows the history of the island, going back to the Arawaks. Only a native Aruban would know that (unless he/she were just a history buff).

From Riehl World View:

Curious Activity At Van der Sloot Home

The image at right is an overhead view of the home of Joran Van der Sloot, currently being held as a suspect in the Natalee Holloway disappearance. Ironically, as this picture was snapped the Van der Sloot parents, Paul(us) and Anita both happened to be outside.

A link to a larger image below shows Paul(us) v d Sloot talking to an indivdual who appears to have arrived in a furniture truck. Anita can be clearly seen making her way from the house towards Paul(us) and the other individual. What appear to be items of furniture can be seen, as well.

It has not been confirmed as to whether or not the Van der Sloots are planning a move. Some sources suggest they may be selling off furniture to pay for legal expenses accrued through a drawn out investiigation involving their eldest son. ALso, the family may have simply decided it was time for some new furniture.

As there is a much larger image available, Ian at The Political Teen has agreed to host it.

Are we agreeing to discuss Shango on this thread? Shango interpretations can get long and I know it annoys some posters. If so, I have some things I would like to share. If not, well, I'll keep them to myself. hehe

Texas Volunteers Halt Search Of Aruban Landfill

A Texas-based volunteer group postponed its search of an Aruban landfill Monday for clues to the whereabouts of a missing Alabama teenager.

Robert Cooke, a spokesman for Dickinson-based Texas EquuSearch, said the search was postponed because of a lack of heavy equipment.

Cooke says crews with trained dogs have dug through the landfill or the past three days but had to return a bulldozer and a tractor donated by local companies.

The landfill became a point of interest after a witness reported seeing men dump and cover a blonde-haired female body there two days after 18-year-old Natalee Holloway disappeared on May 30.

Aruban police searched the landfill after receiving the tip in days following Holloway's disappearance, but found nothing.

A police spokesman says the witness recently approached Holloway's family, who asked for another search.

After spending nearly two months in Aruba, searching for clues and offering rewards, the teenager’s mother has left the island and returned home to Alabama.

According to a relative, it was "very difficult" for Beth Holloway Twitty to leave without knowing her daughter's fate, and she plans to return soon to keep the investigation alive.

Holloway's family has offered a $100,000 reward for information that solves the mystery, and a $1 million reward for anyone who brings her home alive.

" I always thought it strange that shango knows the history of the island, going back to the Arawaks. Only a native Aruban would know that (unless he/she were just a history buff)."

Or a really good researcher. It occurs to me that the trade may be so good as to have someone trying to break in by threatening another whose been at it for a longer time.
Someone who is challenging an oldster by setting him up.

He does seem Troll-ey to me either. But everything about this I take with a grain of salt!

Big decisions I'll leave to you guys. But I am desperate for clues.

In fact, I have wondered if shango is perhaps a priest who has cobble together a theory from what he has heard in the confessions of several people. He can't go to the police and he can't share what he has learned in confession, but he can write riddles.

I've had this feeling too. And that he's got someone higher up nearby who would frown on finding him out. Everybody's got something at stake. I wonder if Beth was getting too close to the heat herself.

"theory from what he has heard in the confessions of several people."

Maybe other boys whose conscience has been bothered after seeing what happens at a rave...and participating even just by being there. Even an altar boy.

Would you guys like for me to create a separate thread for Shango since some are not that focused on this individual?

Is there a separate thread for Shango over on SM?

I am sure that some would like for this thread to remain dedicated to Natalee Holloway and family. And we can link the Shango threads to the Natalee Holloway Discussion threads.

With Aruba being over 80% Catholic and with all the money and guilt, I'll bet the priests know a lot of good island history and gossip. The only person that might know more than the island's confessors is Jossy.

I agree, TexKat. Not everyone is interested in Shango and it does clog up the thread. If I knew how to i would start one, but alas, I am but a rookie Freeper.
