Today I Became A US Citizen! (Cheers!)

For the second time in my six years as a FReeper, I am posting with a glass of champagne next to the computer. And boy! am I smiling.

There are, of course, tons of details, but I'll wait for the questions, and please ask them!

One significant note (and most mortifying moment of my interview last month) -- I was asked what other names I used. He meant this one, and asked, "What exactly is 'AnnaZ'?"

"My alter ego?", I feebly suggested.

"I'm just going to put it down as your stage name," he said.

There were a slew of countries represented, but, except for each new citizen-serviceperson (who were individually named with rank and country of birth, and APPLAUDED), they only named the top five.

You have correctly named #1 and #5.

I had downloaded the form in late 2001, but I filled it out on June 12th 2004, the day Ronald Reagan was laid to rest.

(I mailed it in on Christmas Eve, after the nation was guaranteed-sKerry-free, and as a Christmas gift to sobbing lefties who wanted to go North.)
