I sure hope not.
I have been thinking about this all day today, and it seems to me that everybody (both in England and in the US) has been acting as if this was simply something that was a normal occurrence and could be expected every now and then.
It's not normal and it shouldn't be expected and those who did it - or sponsored or encouraged it - should pay and be rendered incapable of doing it again.
