Hello folks! I thought you might enjoy reading this letter. Please show your vocal support by writing the one person who does support the Second Amendment...
Condoleezza Rice.

July 17 2005

Condoleezza Rice
Secretary of State
U.S. Department of State
2201 C Street NW
Washington, DC 20520

Dear Madam Secretary,

I am writing with great concern over the involvement of the French government in the internal political affairs of the United States. Specifically, I am concerned about the recent news reports of the French embassy’s support of an upcoming fund-raiser to be hosted for the Brady Campaign.

As you are aware, the Brady campaign adamantly supports the dismantling of our Second Amendment rights and is now aligning themselves with a government who has not been friendly to the U.S. Such attempted interference on the part of the French government is highly suspect.

As Alaska State Coordinator for the Second Amendment Sisters, a national organization dedicated to preserving and protecting those rights which our forefathers fought so valiantly to defend, I ask you on behalf of my membership and millions of Americans everywhere to speak promptly and forcefully with the French Ambassador concerning this matter.

Thank you for your continued active and vocal support of our Second Amendment rights.

Kindest Regards,

Tammy Means RN, BSN
Alaska State Coordinator
Second Amendment Sisters

How many crisis pregnancies centers does Mississippi have?

I am not sure exactly how many but I know there are several around the State.

Good! We can't have liberals throwing that back at us (i.e. saying we're "heartless and don't care about women after they have the baby" etc., etc... You know what I mean.)

Bush does have the power to close the borders. He doesn't speak out on this issue at all because he doesn't care enough about it. He goes around acting like he's best friends with Vicente Fox while calling Americans like the minutemen vigilantes. Bush is no better than any liberal democrat when it comes solving our illegal immigration problem.

"Spector called to WH tonight to discuss be short shackled in a fetal position and left to lie in his own excrement until the President's nominee has been confirmed."

I just don't see taking any chances with "Scotch Law" RINO Borkmeister.

Specter was a democrat when he decided to run for District Attorney of Philadelphia but switched to the GOP because that was the only opening. That's the only reason he's in the Republican party. He's an opportunist and has never been a Republican because of his political views.

Aren't you thinking of Frank Rizzo who changed parties to run for mayor the second time around?

I never remember Specter being a democrat - and cannot find anything stating he ever was. He was assistant attorney general under Walter Alesedroni (R, appointed by Bill Scranton) before he ran for DA.

He would only nominate Spector, if Alan agreed to die in two months. That way the Governor of Pennyslvania could apppoint a healthy Republican Senator and also a real conservative nominee for the Supreme Court. Oops, the Governor of Pennsylvania is a DemoRat. This ain't going to happen. LMAO

Actually, my real guess is Janice Rodgers Brown. I'm confident that President Bush was keeping close tabs on the poll conducted here recently asking Freepers who their first choice was for the first nominee to be selected by the president. Almost 60% for Rodgers-Brown if I remember correctly.

Well, the pick is John Roberts. Perhaps the President is saving Janice Rogers Brown for Chief Justice, as a little surprise for Freepers!

"And why? Because of defeatests like you with your self-fulfilling prophecies. "Oh, gee, we can't get black people to vote for us, no sense wasting time and money trying."

No, that's not it all... However, I don't think we should fill it based on someone's ethnicity or gender 1ST and their qualifications and abilities 2ND.... If you want to copy and paste something I posted that's fine, but post the whole thing, huh? For your convenience, I finished it for you... You'll find it below:

How about we actually make decisions that will reflect true conservative values which will then in turn solidify our base voters...

I guess I posted this from my brain, and it must have lost something on the way to my fingers... : ) My point was I hate placating the left in the hopes they'll do the same thing when it's their turn... The President told everyone the type of candidate he intended to nominate if an opening presented itself while on the campaign trail... It was not an Edith Clement... Since my earlier post, he has nominated Roberts... That to me, kept his promise to us.

I heard that he use to be a democrat back in the 60's on the Michael Savage show and I found this article which says he switched parties. I know he's been a Republican for a long time now, but I still believe he switched because it helped his career at that time and not because he had changed his politics.

"Although he returned to the Philadelphia DA office after the commission, Specter was soon planning his runs for public office. He switched parties to become a Republican and ran for district attorney in 1965, winning election despite the city's strong Democratic voter base. He won reelection in 1969, but then was ousted in 1973."

I like the Judge Roberts and I think he was an excellent choice. I could have lived with Edith Clement as well. Im wondering if all the speculation about her wasnt a trial balloon for later when the more liberal Justice Stewart leaves the court.

"its not Luttig. Its one of the Ediths or Garza or Gonzales. Otherwise, its somebody we've never heard of - which means its Souter II"

So much for your four or more shots- Don't believe I made a prediction on this one.

I wish and hope for Janice Rodgers Brown. My 'common sense' tells me that one of our fine conservative Latino/Hispanic judges will be the next nominee.

As Hugh Hewitt mentioned on his extended broadcast (6 hours straight!) today/tonight there is a really deep talent pool from which to choose from for potential Supreme Court nominees.

Yep! Only one abortion clinic to go. ;o)
I do SO love Mississippi!

"Children are not allowed in the Center."

That makes no sense.
Pregnant women are bringing them in all the time.

Maybe someone should enforce that rule.

"What power? Where is it in the constitution?"

He could do it siting national security concerns which do exist.

He has no problem sending our money to Africa without congress which actually should be approving it first.

Bush hasn't even tried to do anything positive when it comes to our borders. You can say he doesn't have the power but he doesn't even talk about the issue. He doesn't try to get congress to pass anything that would help this problem.

It's obvious you will make any excuse you can to justify Bush's horrible record when it comes to illegal immigration. Bush could close the borders for national security reasons. He does have the power to do that but he doesn't want too. It's ridiculous to say that the president doesn't have any power to stop illegal immigration. It's not like he's trying to solve the problem and congress is blocking it. If anything it's the other way around.

He wants to ignore the issue until he's out of office. Unfortunately whoever is elected in 2008 will probably ignore the problem as well if it's at all possible by that time.
