Bible Will Have to be Altered in Canada Fears Former Ontario Human Rights Commissioner

OTTAWA, July 15, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Mr. Abdul Hai Patel, of the Islamic Council of Imams Canada, made a presentation to the Senate Committee on the gay 'marriage' legislation Wednesday.  During his presentation he noted that he is a "former commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission," and from his experience believes that the gay 'marriage' law, "if exercised, can become a subject of future challenges with respect to the Ontario Human Rights Code."

In his comments before the Senate, the Imam noted that pro-gay and anti-religious discrimination in schools in Canada commenced more than a decade ago.  "Education in schools on homosexuality started way back in the 1990s, in 1992 or 1993 in the Toronto school board . . . A number of Muslim parents objected, along with other parents, but they have no choice.  In the name of tolerance, they have to be in that classroom.  They said if you are not in the classroom, your community, your faith is intolerant." 

Imam Patel continued, "This is the trend we are going with; and the trend for changing the contents of the Bible or the Koran or the Torah has already started in the name of hate crimes.  Some of the verses of the three major scriptures of the world will come under the hate crimes of Ontario and other provinces.  They will say these verses should be taken out or changed.  This demand is already there.  Where will we stop? That is the concern I have."

The gay 'marriage' law is likely to be enacted into law next week.

Ron Tugnutt, leave that testicle alone. Did Galen Head get a job? Goalie Chris Pusey doesn't get enough. Bob Boughner plays soft. We won't see the likes of Andreas Wanker again. They didn't call Lumme Jyrki for nothing. If I'm trying to buy frozen sperm, do I call Semen Co.? (Dave Semenko).

This would probably qualify as "hate speech" under Canadian law. However, liberals have never paid much attention to the Bible, so they may not know that it labels homosexuality a shameful perversion, and not an alternative lifestyle.

OH, MAN. I'm no expert, but this just gives me the shakes. "Thou shalt have no other god before ME." and here is man presuming to elevate himself by altering the word of God (literal or inspired, as you will), not through translation by through deliberate deletion of the WORD. Don't I recall a verse of prophecy warning against things like this? Help, someone wiser than I.

Assuming the quoted website is correct, then the Koran will have to be altered also to meet the new PC requirements in Canada.

If the Muslims reacted so strongly to false reports of Koran's flushing, how will they react to Canadian tampering with their sacred book?

It follows though. King James after all broke with the Catholic church primarily over the fact that he didn't want to abide by the sexual rules it taught himself. Though in his case it was just because he wanted to divorce and remarry and needed an Archbishop that reported to him to get the Church's blessing.....
