Bible Will Have to be Altered in Canada Fears Former Ontario Human Rights Commissioner
LifeSite ^ | July 15, 2005

OTTAWA, July 15, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Mr. Abdul Hai Patel, of the Islamic Council of Imams Canada, made a presentation to the Senate Committee on the gay 'marriage' legislation Wednesday.  During his presentation he noted that he is a "former commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission," and from his experience believes that the gay 'marriage' law, "if exercised, can become a subject of future challenges with respect to the Ontario Human Rights Code."

In his comments before the Senate, the Imam noted that pro-gay and anti-religious discrimination in schools in Canada commenced more than a decade ago.  "Education in schools on homosexuality started way back in the 1990s, in 1992 or 1993 in the Toronto school board . . . A number of Muslim parents objected, along with other parents, but they have no choice.  In the name of tolerance, they have to be in that classroom.  They said if you are not in the classroom, your community, your faith is intolerant."

Imam Patel continued, "This is the trend we are going with; and the trend for changing the contents of the Bible or the Koran or the Torah has already started in the name of hate crimes.  Some of the verses of the three major scriptures of the world will come under the hate crimes of Ontario and other provinces.  They will say these verses should be taken out or changed.  This demand is already there.  Where will we stop? That is the concern I have."

The gay 'marriage' law is likely to be enacted into law next week.

Revelation 18: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Revelation 19 : And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I wouldn't want to be these folks come judgement day!

This should apply to the U.S. Constitution, as well. :)

The had better read the last three verses closely before they start messing with the words.

So, Muslims cannot be condemned for any reason, yet the very basis for Christian religion is to be altered to suit current, PC notions? Speaking of notions, I guess the notion of a curse is a bit quaint for these people, but they'd do well to read the book in question... it is to be changed "not one jot or tittle." Not that they would actually be bothered by such things, though; the prospect may very well please them.

They'll have to pry my King James from my cold, dead fingers.

Now THAT would make a good bumper sticker!

Ever notice that the new English translations of the Koran just don't follow the older ones? Sounds like they might have a head start.

Some of the verses of the three major scriptures of the world will come under the hate crimes of Ontario and other provinces. They will say these verses should be taken out or changed.

The procedure for amendment of any of the three is not clear. The Bible at least is not a constitution but a non-negotiable testament completely outside the concerns and interests of the State.

No, you see, God didn't actually destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. He made their leaders attend anger management counseling sessions and encouraged the cities' gay communities to hold parades celebrating their diversity. And to make syphillis quilts.

Lot, of course, was arrested and charged with hate speech. ;)

I would like to renew my offer from last on a thread regarding this very topic:

If there are any Canadians in need of an American citizen to help them coordinate a "reverse-route" Underground Railroad, please feel free to Freepmail me.

Although I live in California, I am a native of Michigan and have many family and friends there. Never fear, freedom is just a few miles across the border!

No, it was because Sodom didn't practice hospitality in the right way! The History Channel told me so!

Check out this thread for the far wierdo end of the homosexual movement, especially the pictures in post #5. God help us if speaking out against this type of behavior is labeled "hate" speech given the crimes that this sexual predator committed.

I guess what I noticed is that some of the post 911 editions had the direct references to Christians and Jews had been altered to a more obscure term.

Dang it, now I don't remember the translation, but the older on in the library was quite different in places.

Yep, I heard that explanation too. The story was all about inhospitality. You see, apparently it was considered rude to hand over your male house guests to be gang raped by a homosexual mob. Funny, isn't it. In San Francisco it's considered rude not to bugger your house guest!
