I am not crazy about their Statement of Faith, in that they put reconciliation with one another right next to reconciliation with God. Frankly, do my mind, it is possible to reconcile with one another outside of the action of Christ, albeit more difficult. No way this should be placed next to the central place of reconciliation with God.
But since it is their statement, maybe they should put it into practice and reconcile themselves with Catholics.
I have issues with the group's statement of faith myself based on putting reconciliation with others equal with reconciliation with God.
Reconciliation with others is not the purpose of salvation.
It is one of the lamest statement of faith's I have seen, for that matter.
I think their entire policy statement is rather strange personally. I am not sure I would be offended to not be included in their definition of Christian.
I think they are getting this from here
Jesus said, "If you are bringing your offering to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, go and be reconciled with your brother first, and then come back and present your offering" (Matthew 5:23-24).
