Senate Republicans Fight Hard on 'Rove' Amendment. Live on CSPAN2
CSPAN2 | 7/14/05

Posted on 07/14/2005 1:58:01 PM PDT by LisaFab

Anybody else watching the Senate on CSPAN 2? Reid just had his "Carl Rove' amendment to the Homeland Security funding bill read and spoke for about five minutes bashing Rove and Bush.

THEN, the clerk read an amendment proposed by Bill Frist that any office holder who discloses classified FBI information on the Senate floor and uses it to denigrate the U.S. military should have HIS security clearence removed. DURBIN alert!

Wow! Great stuff. Turn on CSPAN 2 immediately!

I truly beleive the democratic party representatives in the Senate and Congress...who still call themselves democrats...are the vilest, most hippocritical, apostates in the history of human kind.

How can they actually follow their agenda in good concious..."group think" Branch Davidian style has hit these morons.

Damn, Pat Roberts just laid into some unnamed members on the Senate floor who are guilty of far worse crimes.
Somebody must have had a CTJ with our guys.

No kidding.

Sen. Roberts (R-KS) said we don't need to discredit Wilson, he's already done that to himself. Also said there are sitting members of the Senate that may be caught by the new law.

Hee. .hee. .

"Are they serious and how can they pass something when they are in the minority."

Their strategy, since the election, was to bring Bush down by going on the offensive. They've done it continuously. They're doing it now, hoping a praying that something - anything - will stick.

It's the "death by a thousand cuts" political strategy they've adopted. It isn't working.

...what morons the dems are showing to be...

Desperation and despair is in the air.

We must have their backs completely to the wall, and we don't even know it.

Right. But Roberts just said if we extend this amendment to any brief of classified information, he's looking across the aisle at some violaters right now!

Roberts already cleaned Dodd's clock on Gitmo, does he really wanna go back for more?

Dodd is right in his opening remarks that this is a fine time to discuss this. The Republicans need to attach an amendment to this that kicks senators out of the senate if they do the same thing and then advancing the bill forward. This bill, in and of itself, is a good thing.

Sometimes these dorks just need their salary taken away from them for this type of behavior.

The libs are so into how we're viewed overseas, I guess they're pleased that the dems are whining about this silliness. And it IS silly, because Rove didn't do anything. I love how Dodd and the other dems are getting cranky about Frist's proposal--they get in such high drama over this inside baseball stuff but can't get very excited about the big picture.

They're doing it now, hoping a praying that something - anything - will stick.

They don't understand that Clinton was vulnerable because he was deeply flawed.

They truly believe we were just being "mean-spirited."

Bush does not have Clinton's baggage and, therefore, he does not have Clinton's vulnerabilities.

Oh PLEEEEEEEZE.. I can't stand this cracker on now...If it isn't politicized then why is it I can guess who they are by what they're saying...All the dems are together...That IS politicizing something!!!!

Shut up and do what you were sent to Washington for...There are serious problems and you're wasting your time on this...Another reason why we win all the elections...
