Yeah, I don't think I could ever be convinced that the timing of this show's arrival with Hillary's campaign is a coincidence.

The role of commander in chief is the most masculine aspect of the Presidency, so convincing Americans that she is up for the job (and yes I am saying that this would be a hurdle for any woman, but more so for a liberal one)will be one of Hillary's most daunting challenges. She will need all the help she can get. Calling for a bigger army is part of this effort, and having a super-heroine in Gena Davis saving the day each week on television will be part of Hollywood's contribution to the cause.

Davis' character will probably be portrayed as a Caesar or Robert E Lee type of commander-in-chief; i.e. beloved by the troops and the people, and fearless in the face of danger.

Where was the Beast when the impeached *Crinton purged the military - calling it 'reductions in Big Gubmint'? (BTW, I'm all for 80,000 more troops, just as long as half of them end up at the new and improved Gitmo...)

This just doesn't make sense! Why would the Al Quida-Taliban representatives in the Senate show any concern for the U.S. Military? I wonder if they cleared this with Senator Dickhead Turbin?

The army can't attract enough recruits to maintain the troop levels that they already have. Where is she going to find an extra 80,000 warm bodies?

The Dems keep trying to convince the country that the mean, evil Republicans want to bring back the draft. If she did succeed in getting an authorization for 80,000 more troops, the Rats would then immediately turn around and say that, because GW Bush authorized this increase in the military, a draft will be necessary to meet this number. Then, the spin will be "see, we told you Bush wants to bring back the draft!"

"General Clinton knows what the Army needs now?"

She wants more waiters.
