Muslims Say "Samson" was the first suicide bomber

The story of the Mighty Samson:

"Self sacrifice" and giving your life away intentionally and taking as many enemy lives with you as possible for the sake of GOD Almighty and your people exists in the Bible. Let us look at the story of the Mighty Samson in the Bible:

"Samson said to the servant who held his hand, "Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them." Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. Then Samson prayed to the LORD, "O Sovereign LORD , remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes." Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived. (From the NIV Bible, Judges 16:26-30)"

Note: I called him "Mighty Samson" because he was extremely powerful. He was far much more stronger than all men in his time.

As we clearly see from the Bible, Samson gave his life for his people by killing as much from the enemy as possible.

Samson prayed to GOD to give him back his power (Samson lost his power after the seven braids of his hair were shaven by Delilah and her people while he was sleeping, Judges 16:1-20), and GOD Almighty granted him that revoked power back. Samson then was able to bring the temple down upon him and his enemies.

Question was raised to me: I was asked to show a proof that GOD Almighty approved of Samson's suicide that killed himself and his enemies. Well, GOD Almighty apparently knew what Samson was up to and thus He decided to grant him his revoked power back to enable him to kill himself and his enemies. So therefore, GOD Almighty did approve of Samson's action. Otherwise, why would GOD give back Samson his power after revoking it from him? And didn't He know about Samson's plan and intentions of suicide?

Another Question raised to me: I was asked to show from the Bible where did GOD Almighty indeed grant Samson his power back so he can commit suicide in the intention of taking his enemies with him. Well, let us read Judges 16:19-22:

"Having put him to sleep on her lap, she called a man to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him. Then she called, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" He awoke from his sleep and thought, "I'll go out as before and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had left him. Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding in the prison. But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved. (From the NIV Bible, Judges 16:19-22)"

Now let us read Judges 16:28:

"Then Samson prayed to the LORD, "O Sovereign LORD , remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes." (From the NIV Bible, Judges 16:28)"

Here we see that GOD Almighty apparently gave Samson the chance to get his power back through growing his hair back. GOD Almighty wanted for Samson to take his own life and the life of his enemies with him. He willed for him to die this way. He could've simply willed for Samson to die on the spot after his enemies gouged his eyes for him. But no, instead, GOD Almighty decided for Samson to die while enabling him to take as many pagan Philistines with him as possible.

GOD in the Bible actually makes the point very clear: "Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived. (From the NIV Bible, Judges 16:30)"

My challenge to all Jews and Christians: Show me in the Bible where GOD Almighty condemned the actions of Samson.

So to all of those hypocrites from Jewish and Christian Rabies and Ministers who call the Palestinian Suicide Martyrs as "Homicide Bombers", how are the Palestinians today different from what Samson did before?

I was just in a huge debate about this.. Wanted to get some freepers refuations of this also Thanks

This would have gotten a much better reception in the Religion forum.

To imply that God "wanted for Samson to take his own life", and "willed him to die", when there's no supporting text in Scripture to back it up, I think, is wrong. There's no evidence that God wanted Samson to die, although the request was granted. There are numerous instances [in Scripture] of God granting requests or allowing things to happen that He hasn't willed.

"Note: I called him "Mighty Samson" because he was extremely powerful. He was far much more stronger than all men in his time."

BS.

Samson was not huge, not muscular, and not powerful. Why do you think the Philistines went to such great lengths (ala Delilah) to determine the source of his strength??? It is because no one who looked at him would consider him anything other than an average man.

So, Mr know-it-all islamofascist, UP YOURS!!!

"Palestinians" are Arabs, they are not descendants of the ancient Aegean people the Philistines.

Why would you think they are, because both names start with a P?

That being said, the "Palestinians" deny the existence of ancient Israel. They take the stories of the Bible for themselves. Following that train of claim, Samson would be a "Palestinian". So by their own logic, Samson, the first suicide bomber was a "Palestinian".

When a Mohammeden spontaniously explodes as a response to prayer, I'll consider the possibility of divine approval of homocide bombing.

I just spent some time perusing that site. It is amazing what those freaks will read into something. Even if what they read is the true interpretation, they seem to have a natural over reaction to it and they run with the subject like fools. They also cannot seem to understand that many of these things were parables and four thousand years old. They just cannot get out of the dark ages.

Go back and say something along the lines of, "Perhaps a little context is called for here. Let's go back and see what led up to Samson's actions. The Bible says, 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.....'"

Who cares? They also say Mohammed is G-d, and they're wrong about that.

I thought the moral of that story was to 'not trust women because they will sell you out to your enemies'.

In sampsons time there were no rules of war, at least in the way that we think of them today.

The rules of war are something man has chosen to impose upon himself, it has nothing to do with God. God condemns to eternal death 100% of those who choose to not follow him. God has no mercy upon those who choose to spurn him, be they soldier or civilian.

The nations of the world have chosen to abide by certain rules while waging war under the assumption that all involved will follow the rules and benefit equally from them.

When an adversary chooses not to follow the rules, then they SHOULD forfeit all the protections provided by those rules.

The terrorists shouldn't expect to be able to attack our civilian populations without fear that we will do the same on a devastatingly greater level.

The terrorists shouldn't feel free to cut the heads off of their captives while demanding that we treat ours humanly.

This isn't some Saturday morning cartoon where the good guy beats the bad guy with only the good guy playing fair. This is real life, with real blood being split.

As I recall Sampson had already been blinded and enslaved, so his life was over and he had nothing to lose. And he brought the walls down on those who personally injured him. I very justified revenge. Very different from a perfectly healthy 17-year old Arab blowing his/herself to pieces to murder innocents who s/he had never even met, who never wronged or injured them.

Show me in the Bible where GOD Almighty condemned the actions of Samson.

God condemns the actions of everyone but his Son, Samson suffered, Samson died, Samson did not rise from the dead. He also enables the actions of everyone, to glorify Himself.

"But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines"

Clearly, the LORD sought an occasion against America on 9/11 (and subsequently Afganistan and Iraq) but that doesn't mean that the terrorists aren't roasting in hell and that some of the victims aren't basking in heaven. The objection I have to using "suicide" in conjunction with terrorism or Samson is that self destruction was a means and not the motive in either case.

Samson had an enduement of the Holy Spirit and was empowered to kill Israel's enemies but this was not a part of spirituality. In Judges 15:11-14, we read where Samson was bound by 3000 men of Judah and delivered to the Philistines, whereupon the Spirit of the Lord came mightity upon him and he burst his bindings and slew a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of an ass. He then judged Israel for 20 years.

After that time, Samson went an slept with a harlot, called Delilah. She had conspired with the Philistines to kill Samson after she bound him, and this occurred three times, upon which he burst the bindings by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and slaughtered those attempting to kill him.

Prior to the third time, Somson divulged the source of his strength that being a Nazarite, from birth he had not shaved his hair. After she lured him to sleep, she had a servant cut the 7 locks of hair from his head. Upon his awakening, she wore him down and he left not realizing the Lord had departed him.

The Philistines put out his eyes, bound him in brass in Gaza and he grinded wheat like an ox. During this time Samson's hair began to regrow and the Philistines gathered to offer a sacrifice to Dagon (not a good thing). They errantly held Dagon had delivered Samson to their hands and called for Samson to be brought to them to make sport.

Upon his arrival, Samson, being blinded, asked for the lad who held him to place him where he could feel the pillars of the house. Some 3000 had gathered in the place. Samson asked God that he might be avenged his eyes and avenged only once and to die with the Philistines he was to slay.

God granted Samson that wish to slay the Philistines who were degenerate at that time. Samson was an instrument that God used.

Some interesting parallels might exist here. For example if the Palestinians or in the case of the Al Quada, happen to be worshipping Dagon or facsimile thereof.

Then again, I haven't heard of anybody slaughtering a thousand with the jawbone of a democratic socialist, but if it happens, I wouldn't hang around too long for Hillary to sell them out.

Might not want to entertain Hillary and her crew in an American sports Arena if those who are righteous are being made a spectacle for their amusement.

Anyone with knowledge of the Bible knows that God delivered the Jews into the hands of the Philistines because they "did evil in the eyes of the Lord" (Judges 13:1-3)
Judges 13:5 tells us that Samson was born to: "begin the deliverance of Israel from the hands of the Philistines." Judges 14:4 tells us that Samson was sent by God to confront the Philistines.
One of the things that was certainly explained to Samson was that he was never to never cut his hair. (Judges 13:5)
Samson's situation was caused by his disobedience to God. After his (and God's enemies) had robbed him of his sight, he asked God for his strength one more time to kill himself and his (and God's) enemies.
It would seem apparent that God spared Samson life's exactly for this purpose.
Throughout the Old Testament we read of stories where God's people were defeated in battle.
Going up against an enemy in battle carries with it the possibility of death. How many warriors have sacrificed them-self for their country?
Would any soldier that knowingly gives his life for the good of his Country (or his God) be considered a suicide ordained by God?
When we "judge" God based on our interpretations of what the Scriptures say, we discount the idea that His ways are not out ways, nor are our ways His.
Before we pass judgement on God, we have to come to grips with the fact that we were made by Him. He can't be re-made by us.

First thing that leaped out to my mind was that Samson was being held as a human sacrifice, condemned to die under any circumstance, in that temple. He had not killed them by such means, but chose instead the battlefield, until he was taken there against his will. And all the people in the temple were presumably there to partake in that wicked sacrifice.

Next is that it was Old Testament; Jesus taught us that love for our enemies is stronger than hate. Where do you find a Christian, or even a modern Jew teaching to kill as Samson killed? Even Muslims teach it is wrong to kill "people of the book."

And to all those who justify suicide bombing: why do they not do it themselves? They are cowards, and they know that the bomber is also often a victim: a sap, a fool, or a youth.
