Snugs is from England. She keeps saying she is 60 miles from London as tho that were a long way. We commute that far to work every day in Texas.

So do a lot of people from Ashford but I suppose I just assumed that you all know that I work in Ashford which of course you do not.

Hope and pray things are much better with your Dad.

Good news, BIG time

"Despite his history of heart attacks, Vice President Dick Cheney was said to be in good health with an "excellent" capacity for exercise after a routine physical on Friday."

First of all thank you all for your prayers they are much appreciated.

Just back from the hospital - up date on dad. Sorry if I was not clear in my email Mike the angina attack was not related as far as we know to the admittance to hospital.

He seemed to have recovered from that and was just very tired and did not have much energy but then he came over very cold and decided to have a lie down.

He did not get any warmer and when he tried to stand he could not. It was just like the end of December last year when he could not stand and wobbled all over the place. That time it was a water infection which we assume it is this time.

We dialed 999 (British equivalent of your 911) and got a an ambulance because there was no point in going through the emergency doctor cover because 9 times out of 10 for something like this they will advise going to hospital and anyway if the infection is that bad that he cannot stand he needs intravenous antibiotics anyway.

The service I must say for getting the ambulance was marvelous it was here within 5 minutes but the wait at the hospital seemed to take for ever. From booking in to actually seeing dad on a ward took the best part of 4 and half hours. In that time they took a urine sample, blood sample and did a chest Xray to rule out chest infection and also checked his temperature which was very high.

They gave him one dose of antibiotics intravenously before I left and I believe they were already kicking in so hopefully when I see him later today he should be well on the way to recovery.

Once again God Bless you all and thanks for your prayers.
