One tactic she might consider AFTER she returns to the States is ...

She can't have anything to do with someone taking the perps and making them disappear for intense interrogation but there would be no bodies and no crimes to sully Aruba's low crime rate. Natalee's fate would be known and justice would be brought.

When America claims to be nothing but a "Happy Little Island" with little or no crime I would expect them to drop what they are doing to try and solve something like this. They want us to come there, spend our money, but never draw attention to anything bad that happens there.

Never believe everything you read in travel brochures. ALL exotic places with nice beaches use the paradise label. I almost got mugged in Hawaii and I love the place.

I would never compare Aruba to America. Not ever.

For certain specific universal analogies its ok. For party trips with unsupervised schoolgirls it is not.

"Just a thought, but one sure way to get rid of a body and leave merely ashes is cremation."

Aruba is surrounded by one of the most efficient locations for disposing of a body permanently.

It's surrounded by an active ocean, there are hundreds of available boats and no one notices boats coming or going at any time of day or night.

Well, there you go. I like it. I don't know if ashes can be identified...can they? Can DNA be pulled out of ash. But she is either down a well, in a hidden cavern, or cremated.

I think you are onto something. How else could Papa Sloot say "without a body" unless there was indeed "no body."

Good work there.

I think you and I will have agree to disagree on that one.

I think there was a post on Scared mean Anti American Monkeys that there is no crematorium on Aruba. Doesn't mean there isn't a hot fire. The oil refinery is there.

Lately I just want to be at home too. I love being at home. I used to have itchy feet but age must be catching up. I just want my bed, my pillow, my internet and my books. And the old geezer.

You are correct, CG. But as you said, there may be alternatives.

Try this for some backstory...

cremation on Aruba

"Just a thought, but one sure way to get rid of a body and leave merely ashes is cremation. "

This theory has been bounced around on some other sites. The gist being that it might explain the decapitated man found in the government cemetery on 6/18. He worked at a refinery which has an incinerator. Some theorize he was paid to help dispose of the body. His decapitation was a message? Or he got greedy when the story became so sensationalized. (did I just make up a word?) The official story is that his girlfriend (now in custody) chopped his head off for cheating. hmmm. Would have guessed something a little further south, but maybe not. Some people doubt the charges and whether or not a woman would be able to chop his head off and take him from his house to the cemetery. Some also see a signifigance in a murder (on the Happy Little Island with low crime rate) and the disappearance of Natalee is too coincidental.

No proof of these theories. Only a dead man who worked at the refinery and the word of LE that they "have their man" uh..woman.

I assume that you appreciated Hal Holbrook and his crew in "Magnum Force" as much as I did. Or Ollie in Grenada.

This is, quite simply, "espirit de corps"....for the uninitiated, it means we take care of our own, something America has somewhat lost, I'm afraid.

Maybe Natalee and Beth et al will bring that concept new life....God knows we need it!

LIke Beth doesn't have enough on her plate.

Amazing, this woman's sons lied and obstructed the investigation. We still don't know their part in what happened to Natalee.

And Beth is supposed to put her loss away and go help The Kalpoes?

Beth didn't bring hell on the Arubans. They did it all by themselves.

I agree...to a point. But who would be able to check this out? LE has already decided. Private Investigators?

Aruba is a predominantly Catholic country and the topic of cremation is
very controversial. Wever believes that Arubans are afraid of the idea,
this can be attributed to not knowing how the process is carried out. To
take away the fear from the Aruban population.

Interesting, quote from the crem site, if you read that he is saying their moral objections to cremation will be overcome if they just aren't so ignorant. LOL. Reminds me of some of our good old degenerates here.

I don't know what needs to be done, yet. But this thread is on the trail.

All we need is another Buckhead moment and Nat's can be put to rest.

God bless you all.
