US President George Bush is attending the G8 Summit at Gleneagles, Scotland, which unfortunately was disturbed today due to the terrorist attack in London. British PM Tony Blair left Gleneagles to return to London briefly to assess the situation though returned to the summit later in the evening.
The summit will continue tomorrow but it is expected to end probably a little earlier than originally intended to allow Tony Blair to return to London tomorrow afternoon
Vice President Dick Cheney will undergo a routine exam Friday to check the condition of a high-tech pacemaker that was placed in his chest in June 2001.
Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride said the tests at George Washington University Medical Center would include a physical exam, an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram and a stress test. The vice president planned to be back at work later in the day, she said.
"It's a routine physical," she said. She said the vice president also would have a colonoscopy later this month.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed the book of condolences at the British Embassy in Washington she also met with the British Ambassador to the U.S. David Manning

I am afraid I am not enough up on protocol to answer your question but I suppose France is our nearest neighbour or it maybe something to do with G8 protocol, maybe Socalpol has an idea she is better informed than me on a lot of these issues

LOL...I told him that he was right to walk away....he has my temper so I know what he is capable of doing....he actually stopped and thought what would happen to him if he struck him....he said he was hoping the guy would take a swing at him so it would have been self defense......Mike said he could have gotten into trouble with the Army for starting a fight.....I would have decked him, myself.
ohhhhhhh, mystery, good for Jonathan for keeping his cool....oh man, I can imagine that was VERY hard to do. I would have been steaming. I just do not understand WHY these people who hate the US, continue to stay here. They are FREE to leave! Why don't they just get out?!
I think you would have lots of volunteers to help you out with that bail money. With the leftover money we could buy that pos that said that a one-way ticket out of the country, since he hates it so much.

The power of prayer is immeasurable, and I'm sure your prayers are working wonders. I make a point of stopping in and saying hello to our wounded Marines at Bethesda Naval Hospital, just outside of Washington D.C. and less than 3 miles from my shop. Every time I visit them I am inspired by their strength and in awe of their sense of duty. When I leave, I often find myself fighting back tears, not tears of sorrow, but tears of pride. The least of these fine men are ten times the man I am.

Is it me or does the photo of GWB shaking hands with Prince Philip and Laura Bush with the Queen look as if no one is paying attention to the other, except for GWB. Everyone seems to be looking elsewhere, LOL.
I agree with you re treason. I don't know how some of these people are getting by with the things they're saying. I'm tired of them hiding behind free speech, in order to spew their venom. Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew what was going on in the name of free speech. They don't care if our country is destroyed, just as long as they can embarrass the President and HOPE they regain power. A sick bunch. I heard Alan Colmes and heard Bill Bennett go after him.
