ROTTERDAM, July 27 (Reuters) -
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Prosecutors said the case of Nouriddin El Fatmi, arrested in Amsterdam on June 22 allegedly in possession of a loaded pistol, should also be joined to that of the other members of the network dubbed the "Hofstad" group by Dutch intelligence.
Plooy told the court that Rachid Belkacem, a 32-year-old Dutch citizen arrested in London last month and extradited to the Netherlands this week, also had clear links with six of the Hofstad group suspects.
He said the Dutch authorities were seeking to confirm recent media reports that Al Issa had been arrested in Syria. If true, they would seek to question and extradite the man suspected of being the Hofstad group's spiritual leader."
