Schumer Demands Rove Speak Up About Leak (PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE SCHUMER SOME WORK TO DO!)
Big News ^ | 7/5/05

Posted on 07/05/2005 7:02:53 AM PDT by areafiftyone

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, called Sunday for Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove to personally deny leaking the name of a CIA official.

Saturday, Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin told The Washington Post Rove had not disclosed the name of Valerie Plame to Newsweek in a 2003 interview.

Sunday, Schumer, who led the push for a Congressional inquiry into the leak, issued a challenge for Rove to speak for himself.

"We've heard it from his lawyer, but it would be nice to hear it directly from Mr. Rove that he didn't leak the identity of Valerie Plame, and that he didn't direct anyone else to do such a dastardly thing," Schumer said in a statement. "I have said from the first day ... whoever leaked the classified information should be punished to the full extent of the law."

The panel is investigating the leak of Plame's name to various news outlets in 2003. It is a federal crime for a government employee to reveal the name of an undercover operative after the employee learns it from classified material.

This could be just the trap you're thinking of.

Perhaps Rove already knows who the leaker is, (a Dem?) and is painting the libs into a corner.

Sen. Leaky Leahy (D[ipsh*t]-VT): "Hey Chuckie, you don't mean that bit about 'whoever leaked classified information' in a literal sense do you?"

Don't worry, "UpChuck" will have his hands full in a few short days. After Dubya nominates a conservative judge, like Janice Brown, he will be smearing her night and day. And the whole world will see how "Upchuck" and DemoRats treat a brilliant black lady.

A lady who, despite very humble beginnings of having sharecropper parents, made something of herself without welfare handouts. She never blamed society or screamed that she was a victim of racism. No, she simply worked longer and harder than anyone else and took advantage of all the opportunities that America offers. And her greatest sin, according to Liberals and DemoRats, like "Upchuck," is that she truly loves American and respects the Constitution of the United States. And anyone who thinks, like her, that a judge should interpret the law and not make laws will always be a permanent enemy of every Liberal. The fact that she also happens to be black makes the DemoRats apoplectic with rage. They will come unhinged if she is nominated. They will do everything they can to destroy her. Do it George. Do it.

Lawrence O'Donnell: Update on Rove [Today! July 3rd! ROTFLMAO!] -- Please, MSM, give O'Donnell plenty of page space and screen time to elaborate his delusional bullshi..., er, devastating bombshell about Rove.
-- On Saturday, Luskin decided to reveal that Rove did have at least one conversation with Cooper,

Yeah, Larry, they decided to "reveal" this for the umpteenth time.

Here's a liberal column from over a year ago:

More details emerge on the Plame investigation, as Karl Rove's testimony is revealed for the first time.

Albany's a blue bit. It wouldn't vote to go. Their loss.

Plame reminds me of a wrinkly Kim Possible.

Hillary is the Junior Senator from NY - UpChuck has been there much longer. But you would never know it they way the MSM acts and she acts. She thinks she's queen!

You wouldn't know it from the way Chucky acts, either. He's stuck so far up Hillie's hind end, you'd need a scanning electron proctoscope to find him.

Let's see... Rove has already testified about the matter. How much more can he say?

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, called Sunday

Chucky Cheese always makes his pronouncements on Sundays because it's a slow news day. That insures he is one of the lead stories on the local Sunday night newscasts, here in NY.

do such a dastardly thing

After Dudley Do-Right and Snidely Whiplash I didn't think anyone ever used that word seriously any more.

I agree with you, Mister. I can't believe New Yorkers elected both of these losers to the senate. But there is something I never understood. I understand that there are a certain number of Puerto Ricans within the voting age range, and 100% of them voted for Hillary. How did they get all those Puerto Ricans to the polls to vote for Hillary. I'll bet when she runs for President, she will have 200% of the Puerto Rican vote. There will be voter fraud like we have never seen before.

If I remember correctly, Wilson himself had publicly outed her in one of his own books.

Actually, you almost have to pity the left. All they can do is angrily hector Rove and try to draw him into making a statement that they can put under the microscope and pick apart, desperately hoping to find one little slip that they can pounce on to try and breathe Larry O'Donnell's great "scoop" back to life.

They've got nothing on Rove here and they know it. All they can do is try to make it look like something by making Rove "guilty" by innuendo and association, and hope they can goad him into making a mistake. They're welcome to try their luck with that.

Upstate needs to secede and form a new state. We could take some of PA's red bits with us if they want.

I agree. Then you'll have the NYCites saying "Awww, we pay the most taxes than anyone else in the state, and upstate couldn't survive without us..."

I'm willing to give it a try.

It is sad to say but when Bill Clinton pardoned Puerto Rican terrorist the Puerto Rican community apparently rallied to her side. Yikes.
