Hello all, this is my first post . Long time reader, but here gos
As we enter the 4th of July weekend I am beginning preparations to attend my daughters graduation from USMC OCS at Quantico...
You have a right to be as proud as any Dad can be. Thanks for raising two fine Americans.
God bless both your daughters and the rest of your family. I had hoped to go to a graduation at Quantico back in 2002 but my son wouldn't wait and went to Parris Island. We're waiting to hear sometime in the next few months that he made Sargeant. He's been asked to go to Quantico but enjoys Recon and soon Force more than the officer life.
Your pride comes through in your writing and it is well deserved. Maybe some day our kids will meet.
My wife and I will add you to the long list of Marines we pray for.
Congrats and welcome to Free Republic. Mine graduates in August and I'll be commissioning him. Pride and angst are a strange combination to have.
Congratulations for this wonderful achievment. We just left our nephew for I-Day at the Naval Academy on Wednesday.
Best of luck.
Dear Sicsempertyrannus,
OCC-189 Charley... JAG Daughter went PLC... the hard way if you ask me...:)
Best to you Capt. and God Bless.
Incorrect. TBS follows OCS. Two separate and distinct schools at Quantico.
To be in character, you must now humbly apologize for your glaring mistake.
Congrats! You should be very proud.
Congratulations. My daughter's boyfriend will be attending the Citadel and wants to be a marine officer.
Congratulations to your daughter, and second, to you, for raising an outstanding "soon to be Marine!"
Semper Fidelis,
Mark A. Schallow
MSgt, USMC (Ret.)
Congtatulations!! I attended the OCS graduation of my son and know how proud you must be. My warrior son has almost 17 years in the US Army now and is stateside at the moment.
I salute ALL our military for the patriots that they are.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO EVERYONE!!
CONGRATULATIONS, I meant to say....sorry...!!
Semper Fi to your future officers!
Now they begin their professional development.
If you think you are proud now ....
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
Thought I did in Post #18.
Usually when I hear graduation, the person is finished with TBS, and on the way to the fleet or a station.
If I offended the father of the two outstnding women, I apologize AGAIN.
Congratulations to the DadofTwoMarines!!! Congratulations to them, as well! Welcome to the family, from a wife of a USNA grad turned USMC/Naval Aviator. Oo-Rah!
