He brought tears to my eyes as I watched how emotional he became when he said the terrorists were no match against the US Military.I got the chills listening to Pres. Bush get emotional. It's a genuine reaction.....just like his reaction to 9/11. He hasn't wavered one bit.
To: Howlin
One of his best speeches ever.

Some hippie is trying to catch the comments between the President and the people shaking his hand, but the band is playing too loudly. ;)

That was ABC's Terry Moran who insinuated that the applause was initiated by an advance team. Go F yourself Terry Moran.

I liked the part where the President enumerated the failures of the terrorists.
"They've failed, they've failed, they've failed, they've failed...."

Biden complaining we don't have enough troops. Glad the president admitted how hard the job is. Says the terrorists weren't there before we started the war. Disappointed the president didn't have a plan. OMG.

Mort just said that he thought this was the best speech that this President has given!
High praise?

This is what a President is. Great Speech. I guess he can bring out the "Zell" version in another location in the next few days.
I have the obvious objections to many of his Policies, but God Bless Him, He is a real man, and a real President.
To: ntnychik
The Libs will go nuts with the lack of applause thing.
What do they really expect? this isnt a party, Its a somber realization that we are at war and the battle isnt over.

Mort Kondrake says that this was one of the President's best speeches he's ever given. Rich in context and stratgery!
Thanks Mort I agree!

What the hell this is not a state of the union address where the opposition gets to rebute the address

"Big Russ" needs to kick his son's ass. Of the line about how the troops will stand down when the Iraqis stand up, Russert implied that the President was saying that the Iraqis might not stand up and that we could be there indefinitely. Yeah, that's what the President meant. What a jerk.
