(IsraelNN.com) Jerusalem police have declined a request for a permit for a Jewish Pride Parade on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on Thursday to counter the court-approved Gay Pride Parade in the capital on the same day.
In a copy of the police letter received by IsraelNationalNews.com, Jerusalem police officials decline the requested permit, citing “the welfare of the public” as one of the considerations. Police also stated the Temple Mount is an inappropriate host site for such an event.
In the meantime, the Jerusalem District Court has overridden Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski and has ordered the Gay Pride Parade held in the capital on Thursday, rejecting the mayor’s position that Jerusalem is an inappropriate host site for such an event.

Do you think that if religious Jews riot and kill some people the "Gay Pride" event will be cancelled? Or will police put the religious Jews in "administrative detention"?

Well, pride is a sin; but putting this point aside, why wouldn't this gay pride parade be held in Sodom? It is not THAT far from there.

It seems to me that if you're going to have a gay pride parade in Israel, most of the people marching are already going to be Jewish, so maybe I'm missing something but a Jewish pride parade at the same time seems somewhat redundant.

The local parade is held annually in Tel Aviv. I believe this is the international parade, sponsored by multiple organizations every five years. The last one was in Rome in 2000. Believe it or not, they plan the next in Mecca in 2010. 2015, who knows, but I doubt the 2010 attendees will be there.

I do think Sodom would be a better historical location for the "gay" "pride" event.
They aren't gay (happy, carefree) and they certainly have nothing to be proud about.
All a vain attempt to shut up what the voice inside is telling them.

That would be funny.
They won't let Jews on the Temple Mount but gays can march around Jerusalem. Maybe there can be a compromise. Let the gays have their parade, but they have to hold it at the mosque on top of Temple Mount. While they are at the mosque they can redecorate it. That would be just fabulous.
