First, he said that he knew what he wanted to do for himself, and his teammates. Unmentioned went the fans, who he thanks for their devotion in a scripted NBA commercial, and the city That response, about knowing what he wanted to do for himself was in reply to the comment posed by the interviewer (was it the girl?), who brought up how people were saying he had gotten soft (Bill Walton), how he hadn't played up to his "potential" in the series thus far. She asked him if he changed his game plan in response to that cristicism. He replied that he knew what he wanted to do for himself (to have a better game and help his team win).

Tim Duncan is a classy person, from what I have observed, and that interview came shortly after the game ended. My guess is he later remembered to thank the fans and the city.
