Robert Strang
Assistant United States Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice


Robert Strang has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York since 1997, and has been that office's Computer Telecommunications Coordinator since 1999, and one of the heads of its Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Unit since it was formed last fall. He has prosecuted numerous cases involving computer intrusions, theft of intellectual property, and Internet and telecommunications fraud. Prior to working at the United States Attorney's Office, he was in private practice for four years at Davis Polk & Wardwell. He graduated from Harvard magna cum laude in 1988, and received his law degree from Columbia in 1991, where he was an articles editor for the Columbia Law Review. After graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Andrew J. Kleinfeld, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Strang is currently an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School where he co-teaches a seminar on cybercrime.

Wondering if Charles Croes and the Twittys traced that that cell phone call from coming from the beach area where they stopped and talk to the kids in the car that showed them where Joran lives.
