Interesting that PVDS was turned down 1 week b4 Natalee came up missing for a "judge" job by the Dutch. PVDS went to Aruba's PM looking for a job and Daddy was out gambling with no job.

Maybe, just maybe, Joran doesn't like dad too much - reason for 'separate' quarters and made that statement to Mom because she knows he doesn't want to be under his control.
Just speculating.

Obviously. AND Pappa may have had a bit of a gambling problem himself. Especially if he was strung out financially. Joran's high school education was 17 to almost 20 thousand a year. Now college? Pressure + gambling = debt.
